The lobby of the hotel has a slightly socialist touch (kind of 80ies design) yet the rooms are updated and very large (extremely large for a city hotel!) Check-in a bit chaotic. Recommed to call the hotel before the arrival to obtain the address of the parking (behind the hotel) - in case you enter the hotel address in your... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days, and we are very happy with our time in Wismar. Hotel is situated very central. Rooms are clean and nice. They have elevator and parking place (note, you have to pay some price for it, but it is not expensive). Hotel gave us welcome drinks in the beginning of our stay, and... More

The best about Stadthotel Stern is its location. The hotel is pretty good value but the rooms are not very exciting and the furnishing is a bit oldish. However, staff is friendly and the bathroom is pretty modern. The breakfast buffet is fine but nothing spectacular. Overall a good option for a short stay.

During our travel we needed a room for a wheelchair-limited person, Stadthotel Stern was the only reasonable priced hotel, which could offer such facilities, and located in the middle of the town of Wismar. To get there by car, and parking, even with our big car, was no issue. The rooms were large, comfortable, yet a bit dated. The entrance... More

Great position, just few meters from the main square. Nice staff, they speak english and also a bit of italian. Room was clean and big, free wifi is available at request (just ask the lobby for user/password). Complimentary water available in our room.

This hotel looks good in pictures and in maps: it is located in the city centre of historical Wismar, but it lacks history, personality and style. The person in the reception desk spoke only German which fortunately was ok for us, but she acted condescendingly. The big problem was car park. We came to hotel early but we were informed... More

We booked two rooms for two nights at the Stadthotel Stern, a week-end mini break for parts of our family. Booking ======= I called to book the rooms, friendly booking process. A confirmation was sent by email and a misunderstanding promptly corrected. Location ======= The hotel is located about 150m from the market square, so it is ideal for a... More

Arrived lat night. Got a room on last floor. All seemed to be nice but found out at night room not cooling down. Changed to a lower floor - much better. Overall not a bad hotel but staff serving breakfast terrible. Don't be late! Breakfast closes at 10.30 a.m. which is fine but if you ask at 10.25 a.m. for... More
