Staying locally for a few days and popped in for a quick evening meal with the kids. Made to feel very welcome and were well looked after. Food was quick, good quality and beautifully presented. 5* given to the two members of staff who looked after us - nothing was too much trouble!

Visited with a group of friends for lunch and was not disappointed. The stake and the chicken lunch sandwich were both excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Called on way back from Barton grange and would revisit.

I remembered it as dull and old fashioned but it's lovely and welcoming, nice decor with great old photos of the district. Comfy seating as well. Greeted and served by very friendly staff who demonstrated their call system. Never been in...

I had a meeting in Lancaster all day and then went on to The Holly pub for tea with a colleague/friend. We had the British High Ta. It was lovely. You get mini portions of dishes. We had soup, Lancashire hotpot, fish and chips, black pudding scotch egg, pastries and cakes, all presented on a wooden rack. Add hot scones,...
