Location is perfect. Short walk to the main tourist attractions. And is just beside the train station. Rooms are big, nice and clean. Fair price comparing to the market in Hamburg. The offer free coffee (taste really good) and croissant. Just a bit complicated to access. There is no reception, make sure you get a code to open the main...

Michaelis Hof occupies the fourth floor of a building near the church by Ludwig-Erhard Strasse and Herrengraben. However, once through the fourth floor door you suddenly find yourself in a pleasant little hotel in a decent location in Hamburg (easy 15min walk to Hafencity, and a minute to the local station). Room was a nice size, very clean, comfortable, good...

Stayed two nights. At the time the exterior was undergoing renovations. I initially overlooked the large signs giving direction to entrance but I eventually found my way and had no problems with automated check-in. The room was not large but recently renovated, clean and good value Not being religious I was initially concerned about the co location with the Catholic...

We found this hotel a great solution to staying right in the middle of the town without paying the earth. It is about 1 minute's walk from the S Bahn, which connects you to everywhere in Hamburg, including the airport. It is about 10 minutes walk from the Rathaus and all the surrounding shops and of course the Alster. The...

We stayed here one night on our travels through Germany and the accommodation is basic but pleasant. Be advised that this is on the top floor of a Catholic University building, and I assume it used to be the seminary, but has been modernized and converted into hotel rooms. The room had modern amenities and in every way indistinguishable from...

This is a perfectly adquate budget hotel for those who are out and about and exploring. The location is perfect if you want to see the Alster or the Harbor - it's only about a 15 minute walk from both. There is free garage parking included in the rate, but the garage is small and there might not be a...

We stayed at the Michaelis Hof Hotel for three nights. We picked the hotel because of its location. It was a fairly cheap stay. Be advised that the reception is only manned between 7 am till noon. If you arrived outside these hours, as we did, you have to check in at an automat, where you type in your booking...

This is an automated hotel located on the top floor of the catholic center.- you enter thru the center's lobby and take an elevator up. Reception is only open from 7AM to noon but i had no problem checking myself in and getting my room and door card when i arrived late in the afternoon. I had nicely furnished decent...

Easy access by S Bahn from airport, transfer at main train station. A little tricky to find, have a good look at the picture they provide on their web site so you recognize the building. Lots of nice little restaurants, shops and pubs in the neighbourhood, feels safe for single females even after dark. Easy walking distance to sights (Speicherstadt,...

“All rooms are on the 4th floor. Rest of building is a Catholic College centre. Very quiet when we were there. No noise from outside at all. Our room was 352.”

“One side looks out on to an office building (bit awkward when walking around after a shower!) and the other side would look out on to the main road. Double-glazing soundproof windows so probably best to go for that side.”
