My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel is one floor of a Catholic Academy with a total of about 12 rooms. Our room was quite spacious and very clean. My only complaint was that the bed and pillows were too soft so I didn't have the most comfortable sleep. Also, the hotel is located... More

Location is excellent. Centrally located within walking distance from old town, shopping area, harbour city. Parking at private parking for € 10 per day, or at the street for free on saturday afternoon and sunday. Hotel is located in a building with Catholic institutions: it has no normal hotel entree. There is no reception, so you have to use an... More

Stayed here in May 2016 - was attending conference in Hamburg and winced at the prices of other hotels. The Michealis Hof is basic, clean, functional accommodation, and the price was certainly right. The rooms might have originally been intended for folks studying at the Catholic Conference centre, so they have the feel of a modern student residence. No frills!... More

Room with a great view of the church. Very secure to access. Friendly staff to check you in and a small breakfast provided. Great location, short walk to the town hall, lake, Reeperbahn. There was a lovely Xmas market across from the hotel that we enjoyed in the evening. Hotel was clean, comfortable with a well stocked mini bar that... More

The Michaelis Hof Hotel is part of a catholic conference center. But don't let that scare you away, even if you are no Christian. When there are no conferences, the rooms are rented out to tourists and business travelers. The rooms are basic, clean and a small, but completely sufficient. If you are not arriving before 11am, there will most... More

Apparently, the staff goes home at 1pm. We arrived around 3. We couldn't even get into the hotel. Had to check in via a kiosk, which would have been OK if it WORKED! I called their number & it took a while before they remotely fixed it. What if I didn't have a phone OR their number? How would I... More

This hotel was in the centre of Hamburg and near enough to walk to most places that we wanted to see. Very easy access to our rooms which were comfortable. The only down side were the showers. Very small but good pressure. The Croissant and tea or coffee were welcome in the morning. We topped up with elevensies!

The best thing about this hotel is its convenient location. Taking the green line from the airport you can get immediately at the station next to the hotel (Stadthausbrucke) for just 3 euro and, also, you can walk to all the main sites from here. If you don't like to walk, then the subway is a few feet away! The... More

I stayed here for 3 days and it was really nice. The stuff was very helpfull and friendly. There is a reception on the right side of the hall and you could take a breakfast on there. The room is nearly triple times bigger than standart hotel rooms.

Interesting idea, and very nice to have this kind of option as a traveller. As others have mentioned, it occupies one floor in a Christian conference-type building connected to the church next door. It is suffering heavily from the major renovations happening to the rest of the building - but you shouldn't let this put you off. The hotel floor... More
