I stayed in a family apartment on the 5th floor, and it was spacious enough for four adults. The bedroom is large, and so is the bathroom. The sofa bed in the living room was also large and comfortable. The kitchen had all the basics, including a Nespresso coffee machine, though it's not really suitable for cooking elaborate meals. The...

Stayed here in December 2016. Had an apartment, which was spacious and clean. The is furnished rather functionally and lacks any sense of style, but that is ok. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for an apartment with nothing fancy and are on a tight budget, then this place is for you.

There were 4 of us that stayed in a spacious one bedroom apartment. The apartment was equipped with a Nespresso machine, microwave, stove, oven, a spacious bathroom and a balcony. There was also free coffee and tea downstairs. The location was superb. It was about 50 meters from the U-bahn and the tram and around 200 meters from S-bahn. It...

In the end, what is marketed as a 4 star hotel is just an apartment building with some hotel like features. That's not necessarily bad by itself, but it didn't fulfill my expectations. The apartment was spacious, and it probably ticks off all the formal requirements to get the star level. However, there are some nuisances, such as - furnishings...

Our family - 2 adults and 2 teenagers-- stayed here last week for 1 night (true, we didn't really need a flat, but this is what we booked). The location in the Mitte was very good, convenient for seeing The Wall Documentation Center and other sites and the apartment / flat was spacious enough and well-equipped. The staff as referenced...

Great apartment, very big room, with plenty of space and with a great bed and very polite and helpful staff. The bathroom is very very good. The location is priceless with subway and tramway just across the street, with cafes and nice and not expensive restaurants around. I strongly recommend this

The hotel was very clean and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was very large, consisting of one main bedroom (with 2 single beds that fit together so it was like a king bed. Very nice comforters and pillows!), one big bathroom, a kitchen and a living room that had a comfortable pull out couch that my two...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
