We stayed here for 6 nights. The location was perfect for walking to venues, daily shopping, trams and trains. The spaces are quite interesting, compared to North American exceptions, but work well for two people. Except the fold down sofa bed which has seen better days and was quite uncomfortable. Also, its hard to keep the window open at night...

We loved the Minilofts. Stayed in the Extrovert Apartments. We arrived late and the instructions to access our apartment were meticulous, down to our name on the door of the individual apartment. The apartments are are spacious and self contained and this part of the building has a fabulous modern design. There is an office within the building, and emergency...

Miniloft was a fantastic place to stay in Berlin. Close to transport and some great museums. They also have one of the best guide books to help you find the best places to eat and see in the area. Also great advise and assistance from staff. Helps you feel like a local. I stayed for 10 days and it felt...

Rented a Compact room for myself, my partner and our son (7 months) for a three night stay. It was perfect. Nice location, very nice room. I highly recommend Miniloft to anyone, especially people with a small child, as they all the necessary remedies for you, free of charge.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Berlin Minilofts! It was the perfect distance from our conference and the accommodations suited our needs perfectly. Very comfortable and clean! They also provided us with great information about the area and things to see.

This excellent self catering accommodation would be our choice again when visiting Berlin. Our apartment was spacious, modern and very well equipped with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful and they have produced a handy information guide with all the information we need on where to shop and getting around. The apartment are well served by public transport...

We stayed in a Compact' mini loft, which was as described. The apartment was light and airy. There is no air conditioning, which was fine for us as the weather was cooler, however with the windows open it is quite noisy from the street below and guests using the front door and local dogs owners utilising the small garden (late...

Our second stay, 8 years apart however. Would highly recommend as a alternative to a hotel, we had a six night stay in a 'classic' loft. Spacious, clean, quiet slightly funky and well appointed, very comfortable bed. Breakfast available at the Nordic hotel 20 metres away at a very reasonable price, close to all means of transport, the Berlin Hauptbahnhof...

We stayed in a "Classic" minloft and loved the building and the design. The apartment was stylish but also comfortable, and the apartment contained everything we needed. The design had been really well thought out, and there were a number of environmentally friendly features. The team at minloft were welcoming and helpful with all enquiries. The location was great for...

Some years ago I read about miniloft on an architectural blog. I took a note of this. This year, my wife and our three-your old had planned on visiting Berlin. Miniloft popped up in my head, and we quickly got a booking confirmed, for one of the extroverted apartments. The location is excellent, and within walking distance from our favourite...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
