First of all, get a normal room here. Don't go for the hostel. Every bad review of this place is of the hostel. There are many rooms on the upper floors and they are normal rooms. They are clean, spacious, come with all the amenities. We had two rooms here at different times. Both had full kitchen and dishwasher, dishes,...

I stayed in the doors. The hostel certainly has a unique vibe to it with a film studio like vibe. The dorms are located int he basement in a huge gym like area. It's very dark in there and there are a lot of bunks in there. The beds were pretty average. The rest of the hostel was pretty cool...

Stayed in a twin room with privat bathroom. The room was big enough, the bathroom clean. Very cosy. Reception works 24/7 and the stuff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, especially the pancakes. Good location. Would stay there again.

For me it was my first stay at a hostel, but the friends I was with they already had experiences in different hostels. We chose Baxpax because it was well positioned, mostly walking distance from everything we wanted to visit. The receptionists and the bartenders were really friendly during our stay. We booked a room with 5 beds, which was...

The location was super convenient--you're in the middle of the city and can walk to many restaurants and attractions. If you plan on venturing out farther, public transportation is very accessible from here. Rooms were quite nice and came with private bathrooms, not communal ones for the floor. Free wifi for guest was also nice; most other hostels I've been...

I was in this hostel when Champions League Final in 2015, the location is great, near to anywhere in Berlin center, you can go everywhere on foot. The room is standard, clean sheet and convortable bed. The choice of breakfast is limited, you cannot expect more, however overall it was a nice place. Happy traveling guys...

Stayed recently for 2 nights in a twin ensuite apartment room. Room was very clean and came with shower/bath and kitchenette. Room and hostel was very clean, staff were very helpful and friendly. Located in the perfect place with loads of transport links to rest of city. Sites such as Brandenburg gate and reichstag are ten minute walk away. Area...

Nice hostel, clean and friendly. The hostel don't has a kitchen but the offer like a daily meal wich you can get for a fair price. If they are no lockers in the room just ask in the reception and they give you a key for a locker in the basement (caution 10€).

I liked the design and atmosphere of the hostel very much, has a very cool outdoor-bar area, rooms to chill out, and the food is good too. The location is great, 5 min walk to Friedrichstrasse station. The staff was not kind or helpful, and the bunk beds in the dorm squeak a lot every time somebody moves, so if...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
