Located next to the U-bahn and perfect for travelling all over Berlin. My room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast hours were reasonable with a good choice of continental fare, great coffee too. I would definitely recommend and would use again if travelling to Berlin.

Clean room, a little on the small side but can hardly complain for the price. Nice hot shower. Had everything needed. Friendly staff. Good breakfast which was included in the price. Ok location; near to good transport links, great area for shopping. Supermarket across the road is great for supplies. Don't expect anything amazing, is a basic hotel but for...

This hotel is located a minute away from the subway station which is great - it takes you about 10 minutes to get to the center. The staff is friendly - they helped me out with my heavy suitcase (NO ELEVATOR) and ordering taxi. The rooms are epicly small - I was alone and I barely fit there. The breakfast...

My father, my sister and I stayed at Bernstein from may 5th to may 8th. The rooms were nice and clean, and our rooms facing the back they were also very quiet at night. The breakfast was excellent! - and the location is perfect for getting around Berlin using the U- or S-bahn. One of the receptionists seemed very unsure...

This is a nice hotel with everything you need and is basic. Location is very convenience. Will use this hotel again. But of you get used to all the fancy hotel expectation, this will not be for you. Thank you for the friendly staff.

Cozy hotel located in older building. Entrance through the outdoor restaurant garden. Old-fashioned staircase and corridors. Friendly staff. No parking. Room was on the first floor just next to breakfast room. Room spacious with 2 single beds and roll-out sofa bed. Small bathroom, but equipped with shower, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer. Balcony. High ceiling with old-fashioned ornamentation. All clean. Only...

Very basic but comfortable and clean. Rooms very big in size. Big windows make them bright and nice. Bathroom quite OK, though a little worn down....breakfast we did not try this time, Will book this again for sure! Let down is the WIFI. Poor connections due to thick walls every where....

This is not some four star hotel. It is a very basic b&b but its clean, the rooms are incredibly spacious. We were three friends sharing a room which was massive and could sleep 5 people. The location however, is amazing. Just for that and the decent sleep quality and value for money, I think the next time I come...

We found a nice offer for this hotel. Reviews were so so and we chose to go for price rather than top quality. And it was a nice surprise. Big rooms with high ceilings. There was a decent selection of food for breakfast; e.g. smoked salmon every day. And this was included in the room price where many hotels in...

I stayed at the Hotel-Pension Bernstein while I was in Berlin. The front desk attendant was rude and inappropriate to me and my sister beyond belief (to the point of us being close to tears), all because we wanted to use the wifi in the "lobby" because it didn't work in our room. He actually came into our room to...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
