Stayed for 3 nights and had a good bargain for its twin room. The room was very small, but comfortable enough and clean. We're staying on the room on the first floor and facing the street, so we witness our small share of Berlin's streets' 'drama' that involved a drunk and two policemen right in front of our window at...

We were 5 friends, stayed here just for one night. They had 24 hrs check-in which was very comforable. Very close to Messe inter-city bus terminal. Small room with cosy beds, clean. The room was extremely cold when we went in and the heater was not on. Someone had left the windows open when it was approximately -10 degrees Celsius...

the hotel from the outside looks drab and uninspiring but when you meet the people inside, the welcome is nice, helpful and informative. the rooms are adequate, the tv channel choice for the those days you need to put your feet up are poor, the breakfast is great, plenty of it and a wide choice. it's very clean and close...

Staff are not the friendliest people in the world. Room was really small and we were told Wi-fi was not included and we had to pay for it, we did and it barely worked, One thing I would recommend it for is the breakfast. Sorry, but won't come back to this hotel.

Arrived 2 hours early, was told to put our luggage in an under the stairs cupboard (in the open entrance of the hotel away from view of the reception) luckily locked with a key we were provided with but could our luggage could have easily been taken or looked through by anyone given that key. Room very small but clean....

I cannot recall disliking a hotel as much as this one. The heat is unbearable and there are no fans or AC. The noise from the courtyard is insane near midnight. Many people yelling and talking loudly outside the window. Another room close to mine was blasting music. I asked for relief from the desk and the clerk was rude...

The hotel is nice, and it offers great value when you take into consideration the included breakfast. I have visited the hotel twice while in Berlin. When you travel with a group of people the breakfast can help getting them out of bed to start the day. The hotel itself is clean and is close to a train station. Even...

Just returned from a 5 day trip with a school party; the rooms are basic and would benefit from simple tea and coffee making facilities for example. The breakfasts are excellent value with a very good range of food items being available. The hotel is ideally located for trains and the S-bahn. There are a couple of local restaurants for...

The location of this hotel is great! The bus 109 from Tegel Airport drops you right in front of the hotel. The Charlottenburg Bahnhof is jus about 100 meters away, and with the S-bahn you get to the city centre really quickly. There are great restaurants around the corner, really nice coctailbar Albert's just a couple meters away and a...

For a weekend city break this is an inexpensive basic but clean hotel. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food for all tastes. The room was very clean with a large comfy bed. 3 euros per day extra for wifi which worked well. The hotel is located just a few hundred meters from a train station, taxi rank....

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
