The hotel is within walking distance of train stations and bus to reach all of Berlin. Walking distance to shopping street. Restaurants and cafés in the area. Hotel with no air conditioner. OK breakfast. Mediocre service. Fair value for the money.

The blond older lady was exceptionally rude, while the younger lady and the guy were a lot nicer during my 3 days stay. The woman had a face and look that you were going to steal anything from the place. I finished drink a water was about to put it in the sink and was told very fiercely that I... More

Pleasant and practical for a weekend stay with 2 kids. We had a family room with 2 extra beds, which worked very well, bathroom was small, but fine and clean. Fresh bedding and towels. No lift. Friendly service and pretty good breakfast for a small hotel. Lots of restaurants and cafes just outside, we tried Moon Thai down the road -... More

Pros: -good location -good breakfast -free wifi -in-room fridge -friendly staff -surrounded by good restaurant choices (we loved Tapas Bar and Restaurant Aida) -short walk to the S-Bahn station Cons: -very small elevator that doesn't stop directly at the main floor of the hotel; it stops a half floor above. Stayed here with my mum in a triple room. The hotel staff had already been excellent before arrival in providing details of how to collect our keys late in the evening (they leave them in a security box on the outside of the door that they give you a code for access). The room looked to be recently refurbished and... More

I stayed here one year before and had a very good stay so booked again for 6 x nights as I was visiting a Trade Show. The rooms are basic but clean with good shower and bathroom facilities. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and the wifi is free and fast. The location couldn't be better as... More

I've had some bad experiences staying at hotels in Germany, so this was a very pleasant surprise. The location is excellent with lovely restaurants and bars close by, plus it's just a couple of minutes walk to the S Bahn station. The staff were very welcoming and the room was clean and spacious. The wifi was free and worked well,... More

Hotel room was clean and modern. Located downtown so easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. They were able to supply a fan, which helped since it was quite warm outside. We drove into Berlin and had no trouble locating the hotel with GPS. Parking was tight but the hotel informed us which streets had free parking and we found a spot we could see from our room. Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
