Not in the center of the city but it's well maintained.
The room was clean.
Service at the front desk is kind and available for forever in english also.
Good place to stay.
It is confusing that they name the place as a hotel which is definitely not. Aletto Kreuzberg is a good and cheap hostel with a good connection to the centre of Berlin (metro stop is 5 minutes away).

We booked this place for a long weekend in Berlin, knowing it was cheap and cheerful and therefore not expecting 5 star accommodation. We had specifically asked for a double bed rather than twin beds when we booked as this option was given on the...More
Booked this place not knowing it was a youth hostel. No doubts beds even though they where promised and the place is filled with noisy school kids. Also the mattress in the bed has ruined our backs and the breakfast was very minimal
We stayed in a double room which was basic but clean and functional. The biggest problem was the noise. It was very popular with highschool trips so the kids were noisy which is not a problem itself except for the fact we can hear everything...More

Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today
you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
