The choice for this hotel was purely based on its comfort-to-price ratio and from that perspective, the hotel lived up to its expectations. Its location is perfect when visiting the western parts of the city (Ku'damm, Tiergarten, Zoo, Charlottenburg), but requires public transport to visit the central areas. Our room was basically furnished: a double bed consisting of attached two...

I was very shocked when we arrived after a long trip. Recepcionist looked us like we were disturbing him. And when we asked questions we didn't get any answers. Breakfast was ok, but closer to 10 am everything was finished. Hotels location though was awesome. Easy to arrive and easy to leave and explore the city. Room was ok. Clean,...

me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights few days ago, the location was very good! But we were shocked about the staff (except the lady on the reception) they were not helpful at all and very unfriendly!!! we just ask for some basic directions (how to get there) since we hadn't so much time and he reply us...

The location of the hotel is great, but our stay wasn't as great. Four night in a row we heard yelling from the hall/reception, so we weren't well rested at all during our stay. The bed was unstable. Toilet was the best part of the room, it was clean and didn't look as worn down as the rest of the...

Myself and four friends stayed here while visiting Berlin in December 2016. The room we were given had 4 single beds and was very spacious, with a high ceiling making it feel really light and airy. We had arrived early, about ten am, but as the rooms were ready they let us in. Our room was on the 3rd floor which...

The rooms were outdated in decor but very clean. The bed with the hard mattress was excellent. The area was quiet and nice and just a short walking distance from U-bahn and buss stops. The price is ok but I think it should include also breakfast.

WE stayed two nights over the weekend. The older an ho checked us in couldn't ave been more rude or patronising. Bad start. THEN the own, which was unfortunately right next to reception so we couldn't leap the second night due to a different male receptionist who spent HOURS shouting at someone in Russian. The bed was two singles pushed...

We chose this hotel because it was best price for our dates. It is a few miles from the Mitte area but transport links are good: we took a bus to the Zoo station then 100 into the centre. There was a range of restaurants nearby around Savigny Platz and takeaways on K'damm. We started off in room 20 which...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
