Very nice stay, really enjoyed the night there. Very good location (in the city centre), the bus from tegel stops round the corner. Downstairs there is the shop. Early in the morning it was very noisy because of a working truck.

Quite an anonymous entrance of the hotel, situated on a sidestreet less then 100 meters from Kurfurstendamm. Several tubestations close to the hotel. If you arrive at Tegel Airport you can take localbus 109 to a busstop 200 meters from the hotel at K´dam for just 2,40€, about 25 minutes. Stayed three people in a doubleroom with an extrabed. The...

Friendly staff. Nice big room. Decoration a bit dated. Comfortable bed. Very clean bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Very good location, close to Kurfürstendamm, the city center. Three minute walk from U Bahn station Uhlandstrasse. Restaurants, shops nearby, supermarket right next door. Possibility to rent a bike. All in all a good hotel, although the four star classification is a bit flattering,...

1st time in Berlin, Choose the chateau based on a friends' recommendation. it did not disappoint. Good location, right near the Kudamm and a few minutes walk from subway and bus stations, with various cafes and restaurants close by. In the hotel itself, rooms are specious, clean and comfortable with free WiFi, friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast....

The hotel is very close to many cafes and a 5 minute walk from the train station. Free wireless internet in all rooms. A great breakfast to get energy before the city runs :))) You do not need anything beyond this hotel and I have visited many hotels in the world ... Very comfortable beds, the most central location and...

Nice and quite hotel in Berlin. Good for families. Conveniently located near U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations. Supermarket in the same building. Quite helpful staff at reception and restaurant. Cleaning staff not so diligent.

The location is fantastic if you want to shop in the typical tourist trap. The hotel itself is really substandard; definitely not worth the 4 star rating it claims. Paid for 20 Euro for an upgraded room which includes a larger room, a bath tub and importantly a late checkout. Got the large room and the bath tub. Surprisingly dirty...

21 June 2012 My wife and me stayed at the Chateau hotel for about 9 days, from 11 June 2012 until 19 June 2012. We both find out it is a very pleasant hotel. We read about the hotel in the hotel's internet site, and there is no one thing said about the hotel which is not true. On the...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
