I stayed 3 nights in this hotel (for seminar in Messe) Pros: Clean Good price/quality balance Close to the Messe by foot - 10 minutes (seminar) Cons: Do not expect great services (breakfast) Do not expect modern room (need refresh)

I stayed 3 nights the room was clean small and with dark furniture which made it look even smaller, however the bathroom was also very clean with a powerful shower the bed was comfy, the breakfast was basic continental but edible, the hotel 8s not far away at all from friedrichstraße but its on a quiet street so no noise...

Stayed 4 nights. Very well located for central Berlin (museums, attractions) but in a quiet street. S and U-Bahns a 10 minute walk away (also a direct train link to Schonefeld Airport). Room was warm and clean, staff helpful and breakfast was basic but adequate. Main downside was the lack of tea/coffee-making facilities in room. There are facilities near the...

I'm not staying there again. Definitely not! * The door of the room (212) wasn't well fixed so all the time someone in the other rooms opened or closed their room's door it seemed someone was trying to open our door; * Rooms really noisy! We could easily hear steps outside and people talking in their rooms as if they...

Stayed at the Hotel Amelie for a long weekend. Lovely hotel, great staff, helpful and friendly. On booking my friend and I said we would be late - didn't realise how late - but the lovely man stayed up to the small hours to make sure we were booked in and had everything we needed. Above and beyond. Clean room...

This hotel is well located but that is where the positive ends. Firstly and importantly the misrepresent their facilities: I paid for a room with ensuite bathroom and I had a really hard time in getting one as they were insisting in giving me a 'shoe box' with no bathroom. They advertise as wifi in all areas, untrue there is...

I really liked this hotel, the staff were friendly and attentive, the location was west of Berlin city centre but not too far, as it had close transport links to the centre of Berlin. The breakfast was quite basic but adequate a good start to the day and it was included in the room price, also free tea, coffee and...

The location of the hotel is really good, close to several of the main sights in Berlin. However, our room was really small and the bathroom so tiny that it was difficult to turn around in the shower cabin. Breakfast was boring (in my opinion) and not that many things to choose from. Every morning we went to a nearby...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
