We enjoyed our stay at EastSeven! At first there was confusion with my booking but it was quickly sorted out and we were given nice little bit of extra attention for that. Really friendly staff and great atmosphere+location. Easy walk, lively area. Overall, really nice hostel!

I had stayed in the Eastseven before several years ago on a family trip. I decided to stay there again recently and it was just as good as I remember! The location is great, close to an U-bahn station and an easy walk from Alexanderplatz. The whole hostel is clean, warm, and the staff is happy to help. The breakfast... More

You get a little wristband aswell when you stay here. The outside facilities are great too with a hammock. Theres a main room where you can chat to... More

Me and my friends had a great stay in EastSeven hostel for 4 nights. Location: you have U2 just 2 min walk away. When arriving at Shoenefeld S9 and then U2, only two stops and very convenient. Not that transport in Berlin is something you should be concerned about... The neighborhood is great. You have a market close by as... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed in a double room which was clean with a comfy bed. We had to use the communal bathroom and toilet but that was fine with us. The reception were really friendly and helpful, reasonable prices breakfast (3 euros for a coffee/tea with cereal and toast). Particularly impressed with the staff as when I spoke German... More

Really good hostel. Lots on offer as far as tours and things go. Location is okay but it is a decent hike in to the center of berlin. It is a nice walk though. Nice big rooms and friendly staff. Good communal area. The only annoying thing is the bathroom to guest ratio on each floor. Less bathrooms available than... More

EastSeven is a lovely hostel, very clean, friendly helpful staff and brilliant location, lots of boho cafes, bars, shops near by... I would stay again.... it's not a party hostel, but that's exactly what I wanted, plenty of night life in walking distance. Good job eastseven....

I've stayed at many hostels and this is by far one of the cleanest and best well kept ones I've seen. Location is amazing - 2 minutes walk from the subway station, and 2 stations away from Alexanderplatz. The hostel is in a really nice neighborhood with a supermarket and a cool coffee shop within walking distance. I stayed at... More

EastSeven is a kick-back, cool vibes hostel, with an excellent staff ready to assist where needed. The accommodations are clean, well-kept and inviting. To start, our room, shared among three girls, was spacious and provided the basic necessities. Even though we were on the bottom floor, facing the street, the noise wasn't at all an issue during our stay. The... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
