I was here with my mother for a two day trip to Berlin. The location is quite good. Nice neighbourhood with good connections to the S-U Bahn. S Nordbanhof is 400 m away and U Oranienburger is 250m away. Trams M5/M8/M10 are the best to get to either of these stops from the Hauptbanhof. The "Hotel" is actually part of...

The location is a bit out of the way, but it is convenient to the S-Bahn and a couple of nearby restaurants. The room and breakfast were good, nothing to rave about, but more than adequate to get a decent night sleep and something in our stomach in the morning. The room faced into the inner courtyard so it was...

Nice hotel with friendly staff, they were kind to make this a great experience! Clean rooms and good bed. Good location to go to main attractions in Berlin, also near train station. Prices are also good. We didn't have breakfast. Definitely worth it to come back

Very central hotel. This was our third stay. In a quiet residential street, walking distance from many of the attractions and a feast of restaurants to eat in within 5 to 10mins walk. Very clean, beds very comfortable. Window can be kept wide open using a perforated blind, so fresh air gets in and light is kept out.. Don't be...

This odd but very nice hotel is located in one of the floors in what seems to be an apartment building. Novalis str is Close to Oranienburg Tor where you can take sub, tram, bus to almost anything you would want to visit, but it is still located on a qiuet Little back street. They have an excellent Continental breakfast...

A bit of a walk from the train station, but easily accessible by bus. Clean room, clean bathroom, close to lots of attractions and a main bus route. Lots of cute restaurants surround it. Internet was good, staff was nice, breakfast was good.

The hotel is very good located in the center of Berlin. The hotel has no lobby or entrance hall wich gives the guest a little suspicious feeling at the beginning wich dissapiers quickly after entering the room. The rooms (i have got room number 5, are very nice, spacious with excellent beds, well maintained, clean with sense of details as...

Everything is as seen from pictures. Nice place to stay. Really close to city center! :) BUT they didnt have their own parking as promised, parking was on public street, where getting a place is a luck. If You have car - think twice.

Lovely little hotel in a great location. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Excellent value. Close to all the attractions, stations and shops / cafes but down a quiet street. Would recommend for a mini break in Berlin.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
