I spent 7 days in Berlin for holidays on a budget. Hotel Sickinger Hof is a reasonably-priced pension house that really suited my needs in this fantastic city. Although it has no en-suite bathrooms and toilets, it's okay because guests rarely use them at the same time, at least in my experience. Bathrooms have hot water. There is breakfast that...

this was a very plain hotel in a very average area of the city (maybe even slightly below average) The receptionist couldn't speak any english but was kind and helpful. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The S-bahn metro is very close by. My room was quite loud in the early morning next to a busy road.

This hotel has an attraction apart. it´s called remy. This guy will make you feel at home and wil give you all tips to have a wonderful trip. It´s like having a local friend. This hotel is located really near of a train station. It´s not the luxury but is more than enough for all young tourists. The breackfast is...

It's a cheap hotel with small rooms. I had never seen such a small bathroom, it was 3 square meters. It is not too far from the center of town and the bus connections are good. They serve a decent breakfast. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood (Arema, Dicker Engel). All in all it's price worthy.

It is right across the street from a sex shop, and there is another one around the corner. It does not feel safe at night. My travel partner and I (both females) were out Friday night and a car followed us down the street to the hostel, which wasn't particularly enjoyable. Other than that- the rooms are quite small, but...

Good last minute choice, but not for long stay. 3 bed ensuite is tight. Free internet - need password. Good breakfast. Decent location if you need something close to TXL (but TXL is closing down next year.) 30 Euro for double bed ensuite (two single beds with private toilet and shower) - breakfast included. A little high, in my opinion,...

Location was pretty good, bus to the airport and to the center stopped right behind the corner. Train station is also right next to the hotel, but the train lines stopping there won't get you to the center. Toilet and bathroom were in the corridor (a big minus), but there was a sink in the room (a little plus). There...

Nice place where stay, helpful and kind personal. Cosily and clean rooms. Shower and toilet is ok. Ther is all necesary for travellers, who spend time in Berline like tourists, because there you can sleep, go to shower and toilett. What else you need? If you want to all day sleep at hotel and say that there are not good,...

Possibly the worst hotel in Berlin?! Dirt Rude staff Leaking toilet seat Lots of traffic noise, 24/7 No breakfast when leaving early When we called them to cancel one night (speaking english) they hung up on us, so a german friend had to make the call instead and even then they were rude!

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
