Spent five days here in December... perfect location for Museum Island and walks along the Spree. I had the breakfast on my first morning. It was fine but expensive (€15). So, after that I used the numerous cafes nearby, which were third/half the price and very good. So, I'd definitely recommend these cafes, either just down the road on the...

Superb location near to Hackescher Markt station and 5 mins from museum island. Really can't think of a better location. Great restaurants nearby (see other reviews). The hotel is clean, modern but with character, friendly and helpful staff. Great value as well.

Stayed here for 3 nights during the week in December with my girlfriend. The hotel is located in a very central location in Mitte, you are in walking distance of shops, restaurants and Alexanderplatz. . The hotel itself has a modern but classic finish to it, which gives it great character and makes it feel very cosy. Our room was...

Lovely hotel with decent sized room. Few yards from haschermarkt and lots of lovely restaurants. Close to several Christmas markets and sights such as Berlin Wall memorial, checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg gate are walkable within approx 30-60 mins. If you would rather take public transport you are perfectly located next to the tram and s bahn. Easy to get to hotel...

As my title states, this is a great hotel if exploring central Berlin. It was on offer as part of a Travelocity paring of a flight and a hotel. I think the recent English reviews of the Monbijou are very accurate, especially the review of the single room that was written by our fellow TA reviewer from Torquay, UK. I...

My cousin and I went for a city break to Berlin for a girly weekend and a bit of culture. We booked this hotel through Expedia (with flights) and got a fantastic deal. We stayed 3 nights. The hotel is much more central than we'd imagined, which was perfect for us. A stone's through away from Hackescher Markt train station,...

The Taxi ride from Berlin Schönefeld Airport was slow, much slower than any review honestly reported on sites such as this. You feel great until you hit central Berlin, when the endless traffic lights, letting 5 vehicles pass at a time, reduce the feeling of greatness to that of helplessness. But wait, I imagine you're now a nanosecond from moving...

Don't get me wrong this hotel is very good and this rating is based on the single room although I think that some " Boutique""Hotels think less is more but this should not include alack of a laundry service and tea/coffee making facilities if there is no room service.Do hotels expect guests that are travelling in Europe and staying more...

Very well located and quiet (although note the trams run close by). Comfortable rooms (although a little dark) and well appointed bathrooms. Breakfast was a feast. Excellent service at the front desk.

The design of the hotel is really nice and warm. The price was very fair. The room was clean and the shower really good. The service was nice and friendly and the breakfast was great. It´s situated in a good place shortly from transport, good restaurants and good shopping area.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
