We stayed here at the beginning of December for my husband's 40th, it was our first visit to Berlin. The hotel was really lovely and easy to find, very close to the station so really easy to get around. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate but we ate there the first day and found it a bit pricey so ate...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, the location is good, easy to get around the city, there is the underground and a red bus stop close by. The food in the hotel is also good, we had self catering but eat in the restaurant twice. The rooms are modern but compact they have a film channel in English,...

This hotel enjoys an enviable location, close to the railway station for visitors arriving from Berlin Schönefeld airport, served by extensive public transport services - U-bahn, S-bahn, 'Bus, Tram - and walking distance from central Berlin's attractions. The rooms are well-appointed and quiet, the staff are very helpful. On the downside, the breakfast room layout is crowded, but the most...

We spent 4 nights here and loved it. The central location meant we could walk to all the main sights and didn't use public transport once. The hotel's decor is very contemporary, but the place was extremely comfortable. Room wasn't large, but was interestingly decorated and contained everything we needed. Reasonably stocked minibar, very comfy bed and a never-seen-before glass...

Conveniently located a short walk to the U/S-Bahn at Alexanderplatz, and the Christmas Markets there. The cool glass walled, shower was different from any place I've ever stayed in Berlin. I even invited some friends up to play cards while we waited for our midnight movie to begin. If you stay in a room with a view of Alexanderplatz, make...

A minute's walk from Alexanderplatz, we found this to be a very convenient spot from which to start our tours of Berlin. Rooms are not spacious, but spacious enough for a city hotel. Clean & convenient bathroom & shower, a coffee/tea set if you must take your coffee before breakfast... A good breakfast buffet too. Not extremely varied but again,...

This hotel was perfect for us. Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
