We have just come back from a 3-night stay in this hotel. It was terrific value for money. Everything was spotless, great breakfast, helpful staff, near tram and quite near u-bahn. We especially loved the location. Felt very safe, great cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, interesting buildings and great connections to central Berlin. We would definitely book again..

Great place to see the city, good clean rooms with friendly staff and a great breakfast included. Reasonably priced beers too! The concierge also had good local recommendations for food in the Alexanderplatz area. Would definitely stay here again when I'm next in Berlin.

The rooms are simple and clean. We had a room for 5 and a bathroom. When you are travelling with your family or with a group of friends it is a good place to stay. The tramway is nearby and gets you to the city center in no time. Wifi is a bit slow. Breakfast is very good.

Great big room with four comfortable beds - modest sized en suite but spotlessly clean. Brilliant breakfast buffet available until midday. Staff always alert, helpful and friendly. This hotel offers excellent value for money on good quality basics - don't expect frills. The hotel is a five minute walk to the M4 tram into Alexander Plaz, right in the heart...

This place was amazing. I went with friends who booked the accommodation and I was not convinced that I would enjoy this type of hotel. Well how wrong was I? The place is clean and I do not mean just clean as in acceptable for a hotel - I mean spotless. I actually started looking for faults in my shower...

We visited this hotel as a group of 36 (4 teachers and 32 Art students). as the trip leader I can't fault the hotel for our needs it was great. Spacious group rooms that were basic but very clean. Each room had a small safe. There's a large lobby space where you can meet as a group which has a...

Value for money, decent breakfast, good and quick room service, walking distance from a tram station, you can reach Alexanderplatz in 3-4 minutes. Stayed here for a week with my friends. All sorts of Thai restaurants and Vietnamese restaurants are close.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. We had a loft room which was very spacious, and the beds were so comfortable. Bathroom was compact but very clean and modern - everything worked well. The staff were very helpful when I needed them and available 24/7. Wifi worked well, only downside was having to sign in all the...

This is quite an interesting hotel. Quite quirky too. Went with the university and I must say its quite close to the train station which takes about 8-10 minutes walk. Good continental breakfast and good atmosphere. Beds are comfortable and toilets are clean. Some parts of the hallways were a tad bit scary especially at night when no one is...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
