As other reviewers say, this is well run and perfectly located hotel in a quiet road. My room (415) was at the back with a balcony catching the morning sun and with a pleasant outlook. Pastel coloured walls and a lounge area made it comfortable and cheerful. The smaller standard rooms are a bit cheaper and have tight space for...

Situated near the University area, close to Friedrichstrasse and Oranienburg transport, this hotel provides top service, large clean rooms, and a filling breakfast. Near to the theatre offering Vegas-style shows, close to restaurants, with a place in history as a venue during the German reunification, the hotel has worn well.

Nice and quiet hotel very close to Friedrickstrasse and a lot of sights to see in Berlin. Clean , fresh and friendly. Decent pricing for a big city hotel. Breakfast and Parking is included ( free) and that is a + in Berlin for us who came by car this time. Very recommended !

Perfect location. Within walking distance of the central attractions, Room was perfectly clean and, strangely, for such a central position, really quiet guaranteeing a good night's sleep. Staff were invariably friendly and the breakfast selection was first class in every way!

I spent there two days in February 2015 and I have to say it was nearly perfect. It was a short business trip and this hotel has perfect location, just off Friedrichstrasse in Mitte. It's close enough to Tegel airport so that you can be there in 30 minutes by taking U6 and then bus 128 or paying a 25...

The main plus of this hotel is without doubt its location, close to the Museum Island and Unter den Linden and not far from the Friedrichstrasse rail station, so easy to reach if you are travelling to Berlin by train. My room was quite clean, and so was the bathroom, but there was no WLAN and the curtains did not...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
