Excellent hotel offering on the Ku'Damm. Great location and easy access to the S-Bahn into the city and the U-Bahn elsewhere. Wonderful, spacious rooms and extremely quiet nights. Great classic look that captures the feel of 'pension' style German hotels with a guarantee of quality that comes from being a proper hotel. Clean and extremely well-kept. The staff left our...

The location is wonderful, Kudamm, and the price was amazing too, about 65 eur with breakfast. The room was big, clean and with wonderful furniture inside. The breakfast was really good, with eggs ready in 4 minutes from the kitchen and fresh meals. I really enjoyed my stay and I suggest that hotel 100%

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Started with trouble since the door bell indicator did not mention the hotel. Had to call the hotel and was then let in. Apparently the hotel is marked as `Big Bus Tours' which I did not know of. Luckily, I had a phone to call them. Otherwise.......This hotel occupies the first floor of...

Spent a lovely couples' weekend here. My wife and I were well chuffed to have found such a gem, right in the middle of Berlin. Close to many of Berlin's sights, public transport and some nice restaurants. People looking for a luxury break should loo elsewhere, but if you are looking for a nostalgic retreat, this is perfect for you!

Very neat little boutique hotel on Kurfürstendamm. Grandiose rooms with lots of old school charm (although only a few moments away from feeling a bit worn). Ensuites could do with a brush-up, but they do function and this hotel is not for the Marriott and Hilton crowd anyway. Very nice beds & duvets, nice breakfast and an attentive staff. Have...

I visited here for a business trip and had such a terrible experience here. I went to the buffet restaurant on the 1st floor in the morning and the server(old lady with short hair) was too terrible. She complained every time when we ordered coffee. And the service was unpleasant. Never answered when we called her. And told us something...

We stayed here in August 2014 and very much enjoyed the quaint and old fashioned decor. Our room was large, clean and over looked the main street, yet was surprisingly quiet. The room decor was as nice as the rest of the rest of the hotel, but the bathroom was very modern, which was ideal. We appreciated the soaps and...

We stayed here for two nights and loved the atmosphere of this quaint hotel. It captures the essence of time gone by, but meets modern needs too. It appeared to be a family run hotel, and all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We had an enormous room which overlooked the street, but it was quiet and tranquil inside...

What a perfect Berlin experience! We didn't want glass and steel and this delivered glorious old-fashioned charm on the city's tree-lined, up-market shopping street. It's not swanky but if atmosphere is what you're looking for, you won't be disappointed. I felt very 'Sally Bowles' in the quaint breakfast room with its high ceiling, huge overstuffed chairs and old photos.

That used to be on the masthead of Conde Nast Traveler magazine and I find it appropriate to use it here if view of the inflated reviews and ranking given to the hotel. I would not be honest of me to advise anyone to stay here except based on price. We paid 115 Euro per night and that included a...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
