Good hotel great breakfast nice staff and easy to get around once mastered the trams. Need a separate password for each wifi device so make sure you ask for extra passwords at the desk. Big room very nice.

I celebrated my 21st birthday in Berlin with my boyfriend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at New Berlin. With great access to the SBahn and Trams, we were able to visit lots of different spots around Berlin. We attended two gigs whilst in Berlin, one at the Astra Kulturhaus which was a brilliant venue! The other was in a...

The Newberlin hotel is in a residential area and will not give you a feeling of being where it all happens. This doesn't have to be a bad thing, depending on what you want. The receptionist was very welcoming upon arrival. I was a little surprised that I had to walk across a large courtyard to a second building to...

I live around the corner and this is my go-to hotel for guests. It might not be in the most happening part of Berlin, but it's in a nice up and coming neighborhood, and close to parks, S-bahn, u-bahn and trams. The breakfast is out of this world, too many choices. The staff are really nice, and help with u-bahn...

This is a great hotel for families. Spacious, apartment-like rooms. Great staff! The hotel is well connected to public transport. Good facilities like sauna and spa, with a cosy resturant. The hotel is well priced for a 4 star establishment. Great breakfast.

From check in to check out this hotel was friendly and comfortable. Desk receptionist was very nice and explained everything clearly during check in. The room is spacious and comfortable and the mini bar is stocked with reasonably priced and tasty snack and drinks. The bedding and linens are very comfortable and the shower has good pressure. I would definitely...

Really easy to get to from the city centre, this hotel is a 3 minute walk from two different tram stops and five minutes from a train station. The bar and reception at the front were clean and tidy, we checked in and were pointed in the direction of our room (in the separate building across the courtyard at the...

Dear Regandeddie, thank you for your recent stay and your comments on NEWBERLIN. In the first half of 2017 we will remodel the rooms in the "building at the back" so we hope to offer brand new concept rooms with the beginning of 2018. In the meantime our rooms in the "front building" will be still available. Hope to see...

The hotel is clean and modern. To get in to Alexanderplatz is about 15 minutes on the train and the train station is only about a 3 minute walk away so it is super easy. The breakfast was good and had a wide range of cold cut meats, breads, croissants etc. All of the staff we ran in to were...

We spent 3 nights here and really there was nothing to complain about. The location was easy to access by tram from Alexanderplatz to Landberger allee (and then just a few minutes walk down Petersburgerstrasse) The staff was nice and accomodating and the breakfastbuffet which was included in our rate didnt lack for anything you would normally want for breakfast!...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.

“get one facing courtyard if you want quiet”
johnmccrossan, 8 Oct 2016 | Read review
“There is a lot of traffic noise in the rooms facing the main street. The annex was really quiet.”
  • My room in the annex was very different from the light, modern rooms advertised.
  • Not a great solution in my opinion.
