I stayed here with a female friend before our arrival we explained we were two female friends there for business and we booked a twin room . The bath and washbasin is in the bedroom with only a curtain for privacy . It was just awful. We had a toilet cubicle which was pretty dismal too. I have attached a...

Although the air conditioning did not work perfectly, the view in our room was so stunning over 2 huge windows that we did not care. We paid the cheapest possible price and were extremely lucky to find ourselves on floor 21 with a corner room looking out over the tv tower, cathedral and alexanderplatz. The breakfast was really good, great...

I was thoroughly impressed with my friend and I's four-night stay at the hotel. I opted for what would be deemed as a 'budget' room which was clean, modern and big enough to accommodate two big lads! As I opted for the budget room it was located on the side opposite the TV Tower but that really wasn't much on...

Easy to get to by bus from Tegel airport, this hotel is located in the heart of Berlin, within walking distance from Brandenburger Tor for example. The hotel have nice and clean rooms, but the ultra-modern design don´t leave much privacy since the toilet is separated from the shower by just a frosted glass wall and then there is a...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your mostly positive reviews. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. The open design of our bathrooms is perceived by many guests as a very successful and we are very sorry that it did not meet your expectations. See you again Martina M., Senior Customer Manager

The Park Inn is a fairly new, modern hotel located in the middle of AlexanderPlatz. It is close to everything. The TV tower is next door. The Galleria store next is it has 5 levels and seems to have a nice variety of everything. There are many small restaurants and gift shops nearby within walking distance. There is a bank...

The hotel was excellent. We stayed bed and breakfast and the room was modern, very clean and tidy. The breakfast was very good quality. The staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was in a prime location and is about 20 seconds from the U Bahn and S Bahn.

My husband and I traveled to Berlin last month and decided to stay in the Parkinn at Alexanderplatz and oh boy I must tell you it is the real deal! It was loud and it was a busy place but that is exactly what we wanted and expected. Coming from SoCal a quiet place by the beach we heard many...

I have now visited Berlin four times and chosen to stay in the Park Inn for the last three. If arriving at Berlin Schonefeld airport, it is an easy 3eu journey in the Airport Express train to and from Alexanderplatz - a lively place with buskers, shops, traders selling food and East German memorabilia, and people strolling across the square....

The hotel is now a bit dated altho fairly reasonably priced. We upgraded to a suite on the 34th floor (it is really just an oversized room) but bit alarmed when we found bungee jumping going past our window every day. Breakfast will cost you 19eu per person but I was really annoyed that they wanted 18eu per day for...

I must start by saying that I do not like huge hotels with thousands of rooms; it makes one's stay very impersonal, but as it was about 40 of us we hardly had a choice of a different accommodation. Nevertheless, it was clean and breakfast was very rich in variety and abundance. Rooms were tiny but comfortable. I would like...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
