The hotel exterior and interior is very dated and I guess used to be a residential block (the back part of the hotel still is). As an Accor Platinum member I was upgraded. However in other hotels I have received a personal letter from the General Manager and a gift (small tin of chocolates in Barcelona, a tray of various...

3 star hotel. Eastern Germany style-which made it interesting as could imagine being a resident in it. Spacious with balcony. Best to ask for a room not facing the road-as there are sirens most of the night. We ate breakfast next door-wee cafe with set continental for a few Euros, including drinks for a fraction of the price of breakfast...

You gotta give credit where credit is due. The hotel may not be the most luxurious one out there, but it earns its stars with ease and honor. The rooms are comfy, the TV (40-55") is better than most, the internet speed is very decent (though most non-standard ports are closed) and the staff greets you always with a smile....

We had a basic double bed room which was very spacious and I also had a balcony. You could tell that this hotel was part of the east Germany as everything was big and square. It was on the main street so you could hear cars passing and the sirens from police and firetrucks. We stay just for one night,...

The room was a bit 90's but so cosy. Balcony was very handy. Right in with Alexanderplatz it was a perfect location. Even a short taxi journey wold get you to the likes of Kreuzberg if you were wanting a good night out. Staff are super friendly and always available to help. Shower pressure not great and showers quote small.

Stayed for two nights in this hotel. Good location, close to the Alexander platz train station and big red bus tours. Rooms are very big plenty of space. Free wifi with a good connection. Very friendly check in staff. We flew into schönefeld airport. From there we headed to the train station. It was 3euros a ticket to the centre,...

I stayed in room 900 for 4 nights (from 7/03/2017). I am a hôtelier from Paris so I know a little about hotels, which is why I would not recommand this hôtel if you are looking for good service. This hôtel's key advantage is its location near Alexanderplatz and its large rooms. In terms of service, while the service in...

The hotel is really good, clean, and the room is huge. Buuut, its a bit far from the turistics places. You must walk a little, so, in my opinion, its not in the heart of berlim! Although, if you dont care to walk, the hotel will be really good!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
