The apartment is very conveniently situated to explore Berlin. The nearest underground station is 2 minutes walk. All major tourist attractions are within 45 minutes walking distance. The apartment is quiet and well equipped with very simple decor, like a hostel. There are only German TV channels and no free WiFi. An overpowering smell of cigarets from the neighbours.

Location best, nice price too, very good overall but in the apartment many fixtures were broken. Quiet nights, clean, pleasant. I went for a city break in Berlin, and I would book this apartment (19 )again. You have to go to reception first, but you taxi'd to Spittelmarkt.

This place is awesome for people preferring not to stay at the hotels. I can say that it is very clean and minimalist as German style. Awesome transport facilities like u-bahn and buses are very close. It is worth the money paid.

My husband and I were lucky to get an early check in as the room was ready in advance. Staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The apartment was across the road from the cafe where you picked up the keys and Yvonne took us to there to show us our room. WOW - what an amazing place - apartment...

Everything was great, they were all so helpful, prices were reasonable and I can heartily recommend it to anyone. The location was useful, near to Berlin Wall memorials and information, close to transport links of the subway. The rooms we stayed in themselves were great for a weekend in the city.

I was looking for an appartment situated close to the center and museums. Raja Jooseppi Spittelmarkt has very good location: less than 5 minutes to the metro station, 15 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz and about 25 minutes walk to the Museum Insel. The neighbourhood is rather nice with several supermarkets, backeries and some good restaurants. The spanish one which is...

We came to Berlin for a 4 night winter break. On arrival the bar area was busy with a jazz evening. Check in was quick & efficient. Our apartment was a 2 minute walk just round the corner. We had gone for a superior one. It was huge. Lovely spacious bedroom with large tv. Nice kitchen with all facilities for...

We travelled to Berlin for the marathon in September and needed somewhere near to public transport so we could get near the start. We arrived at the reception area which was in a different part of Berlin, they spoke really good English. We checked in and they arranged for a taxi (which they paid for) to take us to our...

Pros: Very close to U-bahn Bernauer station. Berlin Wall Memorial was nearby. Supermarket Norma(Aldi) was walking distance. Area was safe even for night walks. Apartment was roomy and clean with kitchen and laundry amenities. Phone was available for communicating with property management. Staff was friendly and helpful. Checking-in and checking-out were a breeze. Cons: Garbage cans were just outside the...

    Staying in Mitte

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
