The two-bed rooms are large and well equipped with a large writing desk, chair, armchair, big and functional wardrobe, TV, and a good shower. I have often found smaller and less comfortable hotel rooms at much higher prices. The hotel WLAN is of particularly good quality. The people at the frontdesk are always very friendly and helpful, but sometimes a...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. For the moneys we paid we were very pleased with our stay. The owner was so friendly and helpful. He seemed to man the front desk at all times and we wondered when he would sleep. He always greeted us with a smile and was attentive to any of our needs....

I have been to this hostel twice now and the staff are really friendly. The hostel is in a quiet area and you can easily access the centre of town with the train. There is a good kitchen, two public computers and open areas to do work or have a drink. Will definitely be back here if I return to...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
