The two-bed rooms are large and well equipped with a large writing desk, chair, armchair, big and functional wardrobe, TV, and a good shower. I have often found smaller and less comfortable hotel rooms at much higher prices. The hotel WLAN is of particularly good quality. The people at the frontdesk are always very friendly and helpful, but sometimes a... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. For the moneys we paid we were very pleased with our stay. The owner was so friendly and helpful. He seemed to man the front desk at all times and we wondered when he would sleep. He always greeted us with a smile and was attentive to any of our needs.... More

I have been to this hostel twice now and the staff are really friendly. The hostel is in a quiet area and you can easily access the centre of town with the train. There is a good kitchen, two public computers and open areas to do work or have a drink. Will definitely be back here if I return to... More

Went with a group of girls to Berlin for a few days and found an 8-bed private room for a very good price. Location was a bit out of the way but fantastic transport links so wasn't actually a problem at all! Rooms were clean and the bathroom and shower were very nice. Staff were quite helpful as a whole... More

We stayed here for three nights. The rooms are average (probably overpriced). The breakfast is also average. IMO dont take the hotel breakfast and instead opt to eat in many coffee shops around The neighbourhood is a bit on the shady side. We tried looking out for decent park for our toddler to run around...and wherever we went we found... More

To be fair the rooms where clean and nice clean sheets. But badly located, not particularly helpful staff. The manager somewhat cold like the atmosphere of the place. The WIFI did not work at all and the internet on there old computers was pathetic. There was no comfortable common area and the kitchen was small and poorly equipped. I don't... More

Whilst this hostel was not the worst we have stayed at, it certainly wasn't the best. We were staying there while the weather was really hot, and the rooms got so hot it was difficult to sleep at night. There was no aircon, or even a fan. The open window didn't help much at all. It was incredibly uncomfortable. The... More

Good location for a short visit in Berlin. We stayed one night in a dorm, the room was spacious and clean. Only downsides were that there wasn't enough places to plug in electronics and it was a bit noisy. The staff was friendly but preoccupied.

To begin with, this hostel is not in the city centre but quite close to it. The hostel doesn't look much from outside but was quite neat inside and very good value for money. We had booked the private room and it had a tv, good wifi and a spacious bathroom. The only thing missing in the room was a... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
