Perfect central Hotel to see all the sights. Immediately impressed by the porter who took our luggage and explained all the essentials on the way to the room. Breakfast was amazing with every choice possible. But note to hotel please switch the heater on over the fried eggs there is nothing worse than a cold runny egg!! Rooms large enough...

Thank you so much Midlothian58 for your lovely review and ideas - will definitely look into the fish catalogue, this could be fun (for guests and staff alike!). We will also forward your compliment to our porter as well as switch on the heater above the eggs, this must have been missed but shouldn't have. We hope to welcome you...

We stayed in Radisson Blu for couple of nights on our holiday. Hotel is advertised as 5* hotel, but for me it was like a common 4* hotel, only real difference was the huge acquarium in the lobby. We stayed on standard rooms in lower floors, those were a bit dated and shower pressure was quite low. I'd say the...

Lovely hotel with an awesome (and massive) aquarium in the ground floor bar, which makes it a rather special place to drink and relax. The restaurant serves spectacular food. It's within walking distance of many attractions. A good choice.

We thought the aquarium would be cheesy, too, but it's actually awesome. Ask for an aquarium view and you won't regret it. The fish are oddly mesmerizing. We know, we know, we would have rolled our eyes, too, but it ended up being such a lovely thing to come home to or wake up to in the morning. The hotel...

Well looked after, courteous in everything that we asked for. Food excellent, both at breakfast time and in the evening. Close to city centre and all the sights. Bedrooms were comfortable. We enjoyed staying here and would go again.

Hotel location and standard good apart from service which was poor. The lobby was very good and health suite was also good. It seems odd to charge for 5 year fir an extra bed when you book a room for three folks. Food in restaurant was very good too.

This hotel is in a fantastic location 30 metres from the Berlin Cathedral. It is very central and very easy to get around. It is also close to a nice strip of restaurants and bars located behind it as well as Hackasher markt (which is a small group of restaurants next to a station, including a very nice Bavarian restaurant....

Great spot to stay in historic centre of Berlin. Hotel very good, first class service, substantial breakfast and our room which we upgraded to Business had a superb view over the Spree river and Berliner Dom ...all in all a very enjoyable stay. The wonderful fish tank is an added bonus!!

We've just returned from a long weekend in Berlin, staying at the Radisson Blu. The hotel is absolutely stunning and well appointed, with an excellent location. A few variances across the staff members - most were fantastic and extremely helpful, but a few were a little less than what I would expect from a 5* establishment (like the spa/wellbeing employee...

This hotel is centrally located. We caught the TXL bus from Tegel airport and it stopped yards from the hotel. We had an executive room outward facing towards the Berlin Dom which was very clean, a good size with a lovely view. If has a great atmosphere in the hotel - the enormous fish tank in the central area is...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
