This is a very nice hotel in Mitte, close to transportation and to the River Spree. Excellent staff, beautiful large room. Only drawbacks include poor cell phone reception and slow wifi. Also, it's on a kind of alley, so cabs don't always know how to drop you in front. Still, very happy with the stay.

Not a 5 star experience for us. Staff is busy looking in the computer screen anytime you pass reception, and not attentive at all. Language knowledge poor. Had rooms facing the train track/station and it seemed like they were passing thru the room except for 4-5 hours a night. Cleaness as well not a 5 star experience. We tried another...

What a superb hotel located in a very convienient part of Mitte. Fredrichstraße train station is right across the street which means that access to all parts of the city is super easy. Reading previous negative reviews about the noise of passing trains from guest rooms is very inaccurate. It did not disturb us in any way.. In fact, the...

Nice rooms, polite staff, but definitely not a 5* hotel. More of a 4* hotel, very good for this category and good price. Convenient location you can easily grab a taxi or go to the train station. We would recommend it

This hotel was very good, better than average. Our room was very clean, stylish, cosy and our bed was massive and wonderful, plenty of room for my husband, myself and our baby. The weather got quite hot, around 37 degrees while we were in town and our room had AC which was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly,...

Stayed a couple of nights here on a visit to Berlin. Hotel is not luxurious but is nice, clean, and comfortable. Location is excellent especially for sightseeing. Walking distance to museum island as well as Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. Had a beer and hamburger at restaurant and was not impressed. Would avoid eating at the hotel. Once again, hotel was...

The first thing that you will notice is that this hotel really is next to the railway station. The front entrance is in a small side street with the railway station lines on the other side of the road with all the attendant noises that you could imagine. Once inside reception it was much quieter. Having read previous reviews we...

All has been said: Great location - walking distance to most of Berlin's highlights, railway station right next to hotel to go anywhere quickly. Modern, spacious rooms, large, comfortable bed. Plenty of electric sockets to charge your stuff... We had a room on the 6th floor facing the outside - very silent. Friendly staff, good breakfast, can't think of anything...

Stayed at this hotel during a long weekend in Berlin. Had never heard of this (Spanish) franchise before, but we enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are comfortable and spacious and very clean! Really enjoyed the swimming pool too. Especially because there's music there, which you can control. Another great thing about this hotel is clearly the location: Right in the...

This hotel was in a great location right next to the subway, The staff were very friendly and spoke english very well. Rooms were clean and modern. Dont get rooms under the gym on the forth floor as they clean them at 1am and it sounds like they are moving the equipment and dropping weights.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
