I visited Berlin with a tour group and the hotel was picked for us. That being said it was a quaint hotel. Talking with my friends no two rooms were alike. I believe I had the smallest bathroom in the hotel. Big enough to have a shower, sink and toilet. Not much additional room. No A/C, had to open the...

Very nice room (4 persons), bathroom excellent (2 washing tables, shower and seperate bathtub), breakfeast was very good (lot of choices in fruit, bread, drinks, yoghurt). WIFI is not for free (sometimes it was 2€ for 24h, 2€ for 3 days and sometimes we got it for free). Everytime you disconnected with the wifi (for example left the building) you...

The receptionist was so welcoming (like everyone in Berlin). The room was warm even in late December. I booked a last-minute single room at a great price and was lucky to find that I'd been given a double bed anyway. Shower was small but great pressure, clean white towels provided. The hotel is close to an underground station so commuting...

In an older rustic building with high ceilings and big rooms. My graffitti room was huge with painted walls and cool chairs. A bit of traffic noise, but no to bad. Breakfast and service is very good in this small and well located hotel

Thank yo for taking you time and to make such a positiv review. We are happy that you did have a nice stay in our city and you enjoyed our hotel. Our building is well over 120 years old and does have style as long as you llike tradition, sneeking floors and high ceilings. If the street noise does bother...

The hotel is ok, the staff is certainly very friendly and the breakfast is great. I had a room on the second floor right next to the elevator. The elevator pretty much was part of my room (room build around it). The elevator however is really loud and people use it all day & night. The doors slam and the...

I stayed at Hotel Tiergarten for 1 night with a friend. The room was clean and spacious with high ceilings and lots of character. It is both walking distance from the bus stop so getting to and from the hotel was a breeze. Staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. We didn't have the buffet breakfast but there are...

From the professionalism and friendliness of the staff to the simply sumptuous breakfasts this hotel is highly recommended. The district the hotel is in is well served by the nearbt S bahn and buses run to the city centre every 5 minutes. I found the WI- Fi more than adequate, the room I stayed in was exceptionally large for a...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
