This is a reasonable hotel. The rooms are clean as are the bathrooms. I found the staff friendly. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold foods. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. About 30min tram ride to the nearest shopping centre...More
There is cheap & cheerful but this is neither . The area looks really rough & the room was very basic even considering the price . The receptionist was lovely however & very helpful . We checked in & checked out within 10 minutes
Very good staff, friendly and smiled faces. Hospitality in very high level. Liked to much. People are trying to help you in any issue. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Very calm and quite place for resting. Recommend for family couples.
Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights hotel and reception staff very polite around 25 minutes on the tram to the centre of Berlin our room was massive yes the room was a little dated but spotlessly clean beds and pillows very comfy...More
The first thing to take note of with the Lichtenberg is its location as the hotel is situated on the edge of an industrial estate, so no local cafes, restaurants, places to walk to etc. On the plus side the fantastic, and cheap, tram system...More

I can't say I was there during the day but there was a bowling alley and that is where we are breakfast in the morning. not sure if that was because we were in a group. there was rather large common area where they served a buffet that I believe we had to pay extra for but I can't remember. I hope this helps. I don't believe there were alot of places close by either, where you could just walk to get food. a taxi would be your best bet to get to some good places for food if this does not have a full restaurant.

The hotel is located in the eastern part of Berlin and quite far away from Tegel. I believe you could take the train to the Hauptbahnhof and the further with the Metro to Alexanderplatz. From there the Tram. The Tram stops about 2 min walk from the Hotel. If you ask the reception for Vegan breakfast they could arrange it for you.
