We stayed here for 4 days recently & although we had read the hotel was close to the train track we (as we often do with TA reviews), took any negativity with a pinch of salt. However we were unfortunate enough to have a room at the back of the hotel and the noise was horrendous..!. Trains every couple of...

Nice hotel in a good position to visit Berlin. The only one problem is the noise of trains travelling near the hotel day and night, do not choose this accomodation if you have problems to sleep in a noisy place.

Pro: - 3 min. walking from the S-bahn (Frankfurter Allee) - free wifi in the room (good speed) Con: - the bathroom wasnt that clean (hairs in the shower) - old furniture (not in good shape) - the rooms in the back side are less than 15 meters from the railway, the trains (freight trains, high-speed train, s-bahn) pass by...

I had a single room (#301) that faced the train tracks, all 6 of them! LOUD all night, back and fourth, never ended. The location was good and near Frankfurter Allee, which made it easy to get to Alexanderplatz. I did not try the breakfast, as it was always setting up as I was walking out to hit the Dunkin...

The hotel itself is OK but the location directly next to a very busy railway lets it down. My tip would be to ask for a room on the opposite side to the railway because train pass by every 2 minutes. occasionally you get huge freight trains passing which make a lot of noise at night. I slept fine though...

Very easy to get to with Frankfurter Allee metro station a very short walk away, this station is on the same line as Alexanderplatz which was handy! My room backed onto the train track so as you can imagine there was a fair amount of noise from passing trains. I'd stay again as it was worth the price but would...

A decent, clean, affordable hotel that is located on the East side of Berlin, offering breakfast at an additional cost. The best part of this hotel is definitely the location - about 2 minutes from Franfurter Alle U-Bahn and S-Bahn station which is just one short ride away from Alexanderplatz, arguably the main link point to seeing the rest of...

We had a room facing onto Gurtelstrasse, there was noise from the trains until the early hours, but a gentle whooshing noise which was not disturbing. the hotel is clean, bed was comfie, price very very good at less than 390 for a double room for two nights (no breakfast) Breakfast is an additional nine euros but there are a...

Honest review - rooms are pretty dated and basic, not massive but clean and did the job, didn't sample the breakfast as pretty steep at 9€, specially when you can get a freshly prepared roll, pastry and a coffee for the same price for two at a little cafe round the corner! This hotel is located just outside of the...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
