We stayed here in January. What a lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Elegantly decorated rooms, comfy bed and as our tv wasn't working, we got upgraded. A very classy hotel. We had tea in the lounge and the gentleman who served the tea claimed to be expert. And he was. He blended his own teas and they were lovely....

Stayed here for three nights and had a fabulous time. Yes some of the drinks and extras are expensive but for a treat worthwhile having the odd indulgence. Like a selection of teas from around the world served in a silver teapot. The hotel was spotlessly clean nothing too much trouble for staff. We stayed bed and breakfast and how...

The hotel is amazing. Location is very good, close to major shopping streets and tourist attractions. The staff are amazing, very friendly and always willing to serve, I wish I could say the same about the hotel concierge, the lady that was there was as cold as they come, didnt care to help and never showed a smile. The rooms...

We stayed in the Regent hotel in February 2017. It was a nice stay overall. The personnel was polite and eager to help. The service was good. And so on. Everything you would expect from a five star hotel in a European capital. Apart from one incident which I wanted to share with the potential visitors (not to undermine the...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 years in a row, was amazing. Very nice venue, Over all the suits are spacious, clean and classic but what ruins it is the attitude of their staff. I had a guaranteed late check out at 4 pm in my booking and sent by them, At checkout date, they called me 3 times...

This is a very elegant hotel with excellent staff, especially the girl on reception who took time to show us where everything was located. We booked a superior room for two nights which was very nice with an extremely good bathroom. Unfortunately the water on both evenings was not hot, which was very disappointing. Also the television only had news...

We loved our stay at The Regent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were good, shame there isn't a pool or on site beauty therapist. The staff were very helpful and had lots of great suggestions. Look forward to going back soon.

We stayed three nights in superior room with breakfast included in the rate. On arrival, early morning, our room was ready with a note , as intimated in advance, of a quiet room. The first intimation of the impeccable service to follow throughout our visit POSITIVES: Large room with beautiful marble bathroom; Nespresso machine; robes and slippers: free fresh water...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
