Very good value for money and location, situated opposite an S-Bahn Station and with bus links to Tegel airport outside. No need to take breakfast as the area is full of cafés and bakeries and the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Certainly not the largest rooms (they reminded me of a typical budget hotel...

This hotel is a nice place to stay for a couple of nights or so. I really like the location just off Stuttgarter Platz with some great spots to have breakfast or a nice beer and around the corner from the S-Bahn Charlottenburg. From there it is very easy to go in any direction. Still, the rooms are quiet and...

A hip small hotel 2 short U-Bahn stops from downtown Berlin, Germany (Hauptbahnhof or Zoo-Station). Although small, it was cosy and quiet and very clean. It is a short walk to Sevigny Platz, an area filled with restaurants, clubs, and shopping. The Wilmersdorf U-bahn station is across the street and lends to the easy accessibility into town. Cafe Voltaire served...

I had several nights in this hotel, it was nothing special, quite basic, but perfectly fine for a few nights. The free internet terminal in the room is a great idea...except it didn't work. The drain in the shower was blocking up all the time and a few other little things like that but it was fine for what it...

This used to be a very nice place to stay but over the years they have expanded and added "budget" rooms. These seem to be in the newer (newer as in ownership rather than build date) part of the hotel and seem to be thinner walled. This leads to excessive noise from the next door rooms and the corridor, although...

My daughter and I stayed there for 5 nights last November when we visited Berlin for the 20th Anniversary of the Berlin Wall coming down. This place was super clean and comfortable, despite the small room size. Probably the only negative thing about it is the fact that there is no elevator and we were on the 4th floor which...

Good location opposite U bahn and S bahn station. Easily accessible by bus from Tegel Airport (15 mins or so) and on a direct train line to Schonefeld Airport (45-50 mins). Pleasant walk to Berlin's main Conference Centre (20-25 mins). Charlottenberg is a pleasant, green suburb. Very good staff, all extremely helpful. Computer with free internet access available in all...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
