Brilliant value for money. The rooms were clean, tidy and well-furnished, the communal areas seem to have been newly refurbished to a high quality. Obviously, the service is limited, but that is how they manage to keep the cost down and is part of the deal.

This hotel is quite new, clean, well positioned for the tram. Service is good but if using a UK credit card & you want to pay in euros, say so or they'll convert it with a service charge. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Free wifi. There are a couple of restaurants & a supermarket very close.

We're two girls aged 19 who stayed at the Ibis Berlin over the Easter Weekend. I don't know if it was our age, but at check-in they wouldn't accept my perfectly fine credit card (funded by my parents) and made me use most of my cash. Front desk staff also wouldn't call a restaurant to make a reservation for dinner...

This is just another ETAP / Formule 1 / ibix Budget hotel. The top bunk was dusty, doesn't look like it's been used for a while. Everything else were clean otherwise. The room is not big, but you can have a large luggage opened on the floor. It's only 5 - 10 minutes by tram to centre of Alexanderplatz. I...

For me this is the best hotel in Berlin! It is twice cheaper than the other hotels I could find in Berlin. The rooms are great. The location, next to Alexanderplarz is perfect. The service is awesome: the guy at the frontdesk was so nice and could speak 8 languages. When I left, I was late to catch my plan,...

Ibis Budget Alexanderplatz was very easy to find, despite it being my first time to the area and my blackberry travel app giving the wrong address based on the Ibis styles which is just round the corner. The staff who worked behing the counter were friendly. I was asked if I wanted to add breakfast for 7Euros which I turned...

Simple, and no-frills. All someone needs for a weekend in Berlin. The breakfest was a little over-priced. Next time I will not include it. It has easy access, but it should sell tickets to public transport system.

A great hotel for short breaks. its a good central location. the hotel was clean & the staff friendly. My only criticism would be that even though we had a non smoking room, it did smell of smoke. I Would stay at this hotel again.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
