Booked for one night at very busy time in Berlin, during an international fair. Most accomodation was complete and/or prices through the roof. I booked one of their single rooms with bathroom: albeit higher than standard the room rate was competitive and the room quality essential but indeed not far from a standard 3* (and some 4*) hotel. The location...

First time staying in a hostel. The hostel was in location convenient to the train station and not far from some of the major attractions. The dorm was mixed and I was sharing with 7 men, all seemed nice and everyone there cooperated in the spirit of making it comfortable for all. The price was very good and I didn't...

I only stayed for 1 night with 7 other friends and was satisfied with this hostel. They make you pay extra 3 euros for the bedsheets and you have to put them on yourself (I do not know if this is the default way it's done with hostels, I don't have a lot of experience with them). The beds were...

Really relaxed hostel, but you have to pay for sheets and a lock which is annoying. Lots of bars and pubs near the hostel, and many people to meet. Its like a huge apartment complex. Be engaging with people and your time will be enjoyable. Berlin is a great city.

This hostel was perfect for me for a short stay in the city. It was a bit noisy, but the personal was really helpful. Don't forget to bring your towel and bed sheets (you can have some at the reception for a fee). You also have to pay a fee if you want to pay by card!

The A&O Berlin Hbf is a nice place if your train arrives late in the evening. We just had to walk around 10min to arrive at this place. The common room was always crowded but the noise could not be heard in the sleeping room. 👍🏻 Wifi was provided but didn't work properly. Anyway this hostel is nice if you...

Very nice budget accommodation ranging from dormitory bed to private room. We, me and my friend stayed there for two night in private room. we were surprised to see the comfort level. Staffs were very courteous, process of booking awesome and cleanliness was as good as any hotel... centrally located near BERLIN central (Hauptbahnhof) station. 5 minutes walk, most of...

This hotel has hostel type rooms as well as hotel type rooms. It is a 5 minute walk from the main train station. The outside looks like a dump, but the rooms are spotless. The hallways are extremely loud late into the night as large student groups stay here due to the cheap rates. Each room has 2 doors as...

solo-traveller, stayed for 1 night, 8-person-mixed-dorm. positive: cheap; central location - close to the central station; free wifi; clean; safe (lockers available); headlight at every bed in my dorm. negative: lots(!) of noise from the hallway/other rooms (bring earplugs if you want to sleep during nighttime); check in/out process (very slow, long queue); no power socket at every bed; was...

My partner and I were arriving in Berlin at 1am so needed a hostel as close to the station as possible that would allow a late check in for just 1 night. This hostel was easy to find in the dark and only a 10 minute walk from the station. Reception still appeared to be very lively at this time...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
