Just what we wanted: a cheap, clean, place to sleep in a great location. With easy public transporation access to the airport and to Berlin trains, buses and trams and walking distance to the museum island, there could hardly be a better location. The was a Bio (organic) market close by, and a Rewe supermarket about 10 minutes walk from...

Me and a friend stayed here last March and it was wonderful! Think it worked out as9€ each a night and it was so clean!! We were really impressed with the staff on reception as they were all very helpful, chatty and friendly. Despite it being two of us we shared a double bed and even though the room was...

I stayed at this place. Despite the cleanliness of the rooms and the fact that they were mostly en-suite everything other than the room was at a charge (in cash). Nowhere to hang anything and effectively and literally living out of a suitcase due to space constraints. Staff were helpful and friendly, however, to my mind this didn't make up...

Stayed here for 4 nights. The room is very small, but clean, comfortable bed, and good temperature control. The bathroom is strange - not very private, as other reviewers have said. But it was clean, the shower was good. The window was fantastic at keeping the noise out. We didn't notice this until we opened it and were nearly deafened...

This was our first time staying at an easyHotel and I have to say that it's been a wonderful experience. The rooms are really innovative and utilize what space they have. You get a bathroom with a shower which is nice and a cute little cubby style bed. The beds were comfortable and the linen was nice and fresh. It's...

Or perhaps it's more accurate to say that you don't get, what you don't pay for. You have to pay for TV, internet, hair dryer and so on. But it's actually ok, because why pay for things you don't need or use? I liked the hotel; it was very cheap and the location was great. Very close to Hackescher Markt...

The hotel staff was really nice and friendly and offered to help each time you passed by reception so the service was great. The location of the hotel is also very good, near Metro station (2 min) and tram. You also have supermarkets nearby and a lot of places to eat different types of cuisines so the location is perfect...

This is a good choice to stay in Berlin. Is nearby to Hackescher Markt, a place with S-Bahn station and also have restaurants, and sure beer. I'm arrived in Berlin during the Eurocup and get some beer and watching some soccer games on Hackescher Markt was an experience that we never forget. The hotel has a high level of cleanness,...

Excellet hotel and an absoulte bargain at only EUR25 per night. Location is really good, only a few minuntes walk from the U-Bahn station. There is an abundance of bars and eating places within the area including Grill und Schlemmerbuffet for an excellent kebab. The reception staff were friendly and directed me to my room whilst apologising for the lift...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
