We went to the hotel bar for some snacks and a cocktail around 9pm - quirky decor and friendly staff, with a mixture of people there, both staying in the hotel and visitors as we were. We had delicious cocktails. Would definitely recommend. The whole place oozed cool.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights during the week and we both had an amazing time. Our friends recommended this place to us and it really didn't disappoint. We stayed in the Cosy room and it looked great, very minimalistic, great sized bed with lovely touches. The bathroom was small but the room does what it says... More

We stayed in lofts room. They are very small, the beds are extremely uncomfortable and very close to the ceiling. It's too bad because the hotel lounge is very cute. The atmosphere is also very cool. They only need to place thicker and more comfortable beds.

Dear guest, thanks for your feedback. Great that you enjoyed almost everything. The mattress and bedding is something that we treat with the highest priority. We recently invested in new bedding that is created out of Eucalyptus Wood transformed into a product called Lyocell or Tencel from sustainable farming. The bedding is ecological, free of chemicals and energetically supercharged. The... More

Stayed for 3 nights in May 2016. As a family of 4 we stayed in the Band room. The children loved it especially my 11 year old as it was like a giant bunk bed. The staff were very friendly laid back helpful. The Breakfasts were amazing very healthy and tasty. My children were 11 and 14 so a perfect... More

We loved this bar - it was interesting, arty, chilled and very different. We drank a few different beers and some shorts and it had a great atmosphere. Perfect for people who want to chat and maybe meet some like-minded, unique people.

Hotel located in the East of Berlin close to the East Side Gallery (3 min walk) and very close to subway. Very funky atmosphere and perfect service. The lobby is really pleasant: great music, cocktails and cosy sofas to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. I would definitely... More

First the good: Michelberger is a stylish hotel in a good location. The bar/lounge and restaurant are nice spaces where it's easy to spend time. Breakfast was good, but at the high price they should change it up a bit each day for variety. The staff are pleasant if not always on top of things (many seemed new to the... More

Dear guest, happy that you enjoyed our bar and restaurant spaces! Obviously we would have loved to also hear the same in regards to your room. The LOFT room you stayed in is loved by guests because of exactly the mezzanine feature, which provides for a cosy sleep experience, elevated and with a 2 by 2 meter super-kingzise bed. You... More

Trendy rooms - made of nothing - really :-) Everything is well functioning. The restaurant is fabulous . Good Good food. Both for breakfast and dinner. Nice relaxed staff. Great looking hotel, interiors have been designed on a budget though. Unfortunately looking good is where it stops as the design of the rooms in particular are rather impractical. The rooms leave nowhere to store anything so you are living out of a suitcase like you are staying in a hostel and let me assure you, at the price we... More

Dear Guest, we are not the ideal hotel for group travels. The most beautiful thing about our hotel, is the great variety of wonderful guests, all at the same time together under one room. A family for the night. From couples, to families to traveling musicians to travelling salesmen. Small groups of friends coming to town for partying are welcome,... More

We stayed at the Michelberger for three nights and all I can say is that it was ok. I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel as it looked very cool and had received some positive reviews, but apart from the hotel bar and lobby area, the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. We booked a loft... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
