We stayed here between Christmas & New Year 2016 and the hotel was in a great location, the rooms were clean and had everything you would expect for a city centre hotel. The location was great for all the tourist attractions with most things within a 15 minute walk. The Christmas markets were on and were only a 5 min...

This is a wonderful property. The English-speaking staff was very helpful and the rooms were cozy and clean, Transportation was arranged by the hotel staff and cabs arrived within minutes, I would recommend this for business or leisure travel.

I stayed here for five nights recently. Things I liked about the hotel: -- The room (overlooking the interior courtyard) was small but clean, and it was QUIET. The heating system was silent. -- The bed was comfortable and the curtains were effective in blocking the daylight. -- The WiFi was fast, and worked well throughout the hotel. -- The...

We had a superior room, very spacious with nice bathroom with bath. and a coffee machine in the room. Everything was ok except some matters which should not occur in a 4-star hotel, e.g. empty soap dispenser through our whole stay, stuffy drain in the wash basin, broken shower switch, missing sugar to make tea or coffee. When we asked...

I would not consider this hotel 4 star. Very basic bar. Rooms adequate but very small. Bed small and hard. Tiny fridge. Breakfast decent enough but very expensive compared to dozens of cafes nearby. Staff not very friendly or helpful. Very upmarket area. Would head for alexanderplatz and stay somewhere there if i return to berlin.

This is my default go to hotel when traveling to Berlin for business. Fantastic location, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and supportive staff members. What else a man need? Will definitely visit again.

PROS The check in was smooth and friendly. The room was clean and bed comfortable. CONS Room was too cold Limited options for dinner nearby Overall it was good value for money in this area and that seems to be what they are trying to offer.

The room was small but clean and comfortable. There is a separate toilet, and within the room is a sink and integrated shower. The bed was comfortable, within the room was a fridge and safe. There was also a wardrobe, desk and chair. Wi -fi worked well and...

Yes, the rooms are rather small, but big enough for a city trip to Berlin. The bed is comfortable and we slept very well. The shower and sink are integrated into the room, the toilet is separated by a door. We didn't book the breakfast (14€), which is not necessary, as there are plenty of bakery stores just around the...

Visited over Christmas to see the markets. Good location in the city for a great price! We drove in and out but walked and took public transportation to 10 markets. Like others said, Room is small (as in walk sideways between bed and wall) and shower & sink are literally in the room, but it works if you're only there...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
