This hotel is located in the heart of the old city. The market square is just a few steps away and there is plenty to do, eat, and see all around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was included and delicious. The hotel is decorated in a mid-evil theme which fits the setting in the old city....

We were delayed by one day in flying from London to Munich (BA's engineers forgetting to tighten up hatch covers on a flight to Oslo) and thought we would have to only spend our second planned night at this beautiful hotel. The owners could not have been more helpful and understanding of our plight, making our stay a memorable one....

We have stayed several times at this hotel, and we love the charm and the history and the hospitality of Frau Berger. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are huge, the dining room is lovely and breakfast is great. We were delighted to see they are now advertising free wireless Internet throughout the hotel, but that turns out to be...

We enjoyed our stay in this classic hotel. We had a triple deluxe family room which was huge. We appreciated that they had a fan set up in the room as we arrived on a very hot day. Hotel is quiet and within walking distance of all the sights. Great breakfast. When you enter town on the street that the...

We chose the hotel because of its old ambiance and is located by one of the gates, walking distance to the market square. When we booked the room, we had to take the dinner package including the Nightwatch tour at 9.30 pm bec it was obligatory. No choice! We arrived late, right before 7pm, so we had to rush and...

This hotel was great, although there was confusion at check in about the information submitted by booking.com for our reservation. Stephen was very helpful in working with us to add a roll away to our room without a problem. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant was very good. The rooms we larger than normal, and though not air...

Everything about this hotel is good. The staff are excellent, helpful and professional. The rooms are large and comfortable, though not all of them offer the traditional painted wooden furniture shown in some of the photos. Ours was a classic room, with pleasant but standard hotel room fittings. While the rooms don't have air conditioning, the windows do open and...

Hotel was in a great location within the walled city. Our first experience with the hotel was when we called to say we were running late and would probably be arriving shortly before 10pm. The front desk girl was so pleasant and said she would wait for us. We had trouble entering the walled town but blindly followed the gps...

Situated inside the old walls this hotel is in the middle of the town and in a fantastic location. The staff were friendly and helpful and carried our heavy bags up the three flights of stairs with no question. They also parked the car for us -this we were very happy about as we had just driven the wrong way...
