If you're coming to Nuremberg for the Christmas Market it really is very hard to beat this hotel - walk out of the front door, turn to your right and there's the market so if you're planning to render yourself immobile with amazing food and buckets of gluhwein this is the place to stay.
The room we stayed in was 18m2 which was somewhat snug but laid out in such a way as to not feel too cramped, a firm twin mattress bed and surprisingly quiet location yielded restful sleep.
There was no kettle in the room but tea and coffee were available in reception for no charge along with free rolls and jam if you couldn't face the excellent full buffet breakfast.
In the event that we ever return for the Christmas markets, this will be our first choice.

We stayed at this hotel for the opening of the Christmas markets, & the location is perfect, close to all attractions. Short taxi ride from train station. The check in was seamless perhaps one of the quickest check in's ever. The staff were very pleasant. The room albeit not big was very clean & adequate for a short stay. Our room was positioned just outside the lift & I was initially concerned about noise however, we had no issue at all. The shower is small but has good water pressure. The pillows are squishy & do not offer any support. We didn't have the breakfast as there are plenty of options close by. Happy to recommend this hotel.

This hotel has perhaps the best location for the Christmas markets. It's right there! Not a far walk at all! Some other pros would be the modern room decor, and large bathroom with a lot space on the sink. However cons include the size of the room being small, there was so space for storing our luggage (we couldn't leave them open, had to fold them up and stand), the shower had a slanted ceiling so my boyfriend hit his head a couple of times (beware tall people), and also while showering water would spill to the floor because it wasn't fully enclosed.
All that being said, we stayed one night and found that the location was worth it since we were out at the markets more than in the room.

This is a really nice, modern hotel right around the corner from the Hauptmarkt. It's just a short walk to many major tourist sights including the Imperial Castle and Nazi Art Bunker. We had a king room overlooking the front that felt rather spacious. The room and all the amenities were great. I had to take away a star for the hard bed. It was incredibly uncomfortable and too firm and I woke up with back pain. Thankfully we only stayed one night.
There is a parking garage under the hotel but our van was a little too large for it. So we parked at another parking garage about a 5-10 min walk down the street for €18 a night. Well worth it if you have a large vehicle and want to keep it off of street parking. I emailed the hotel weeks before our arrival asking about parking for a large van and they promptly answered with directions to the other parking garage.
The hotel is in a great location. Plenty of coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants within a short walk. We did not buy the breakfast at the hotel due to the many other options nearby. The hotel does have free coffee and tea before 10am; after that, it's €4.
Except for the hardness of the bed, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel, largely due to the fantastic location. I’d still stay here again if we return to this area.

So many reasons to recommend Sorat Hotel Saxx. Location on the Hauptmarkt is fantastic with the best streets of the old town a short step away. Speediest check in and equally efficient check out by friendly English speaking staff. Good value buffet breakfast (12 Euro), the coffee - and views - were great. Plus complimentary coffee at reception all morning. Best of all, our room (502) - mightily impressed they noted our request for a view and what a view we had across the Hauptmarkt and Nurnberg from the 5th floor. Very comfy bed, effective a/c, everything well maintains. This hotel got our weekend in Nurnberg off to fantastic start. Thank you.

This was my first stay at the Sorat Hotel Saxx and it came through with everything. My only complaint is that the breakfast was not included, but in Nuremberg options abound! Location is drop dead! I had a superior room with a view of the main square over the Christmas market. My room had two nice windows overlooking the market, it was very large and comfortable. I experienced no problems with anything working in the room. It was very clean. The desk staff was helpful and answered questions I had regarding restaurants and sightseeing information. All in all, my stay was wonderful. I intend to keep them in mind in the future when traveling through Nuremberg.

Fantastic hotel for a family stay. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and even had a fridge. The location was perfect, walking distance to most attractions and a bus stop right outside for those further afield.

The location of this hotel is perfect if you want to explore the Altstadt. Short walk to the train station.
Everything was very clean. The air conditioning worked well. My husband, teenage son and I stayed in a Junior Studio Suite that had a king bed and a twin bed. There was plenty of space in the room. The room overlooked the square, but was amazingly quiet, even when there were people out and about outside.
We did not purchase breakfast with our stay, but both mornings got delicious pastries and coffee from a bakery a few doors down.
I would definitely stay here again.

Everyone at this hotel was so patient with my terrible attempts at German! They were helpful, tho. The hotel was very clean and super quiet. The location is outstanding, right at the main market area, and they had stalls set up daily. The bar is small, but has whatever you’d need. The bed was very comfortable. The only irritation was you have to step inside to turn on the shower water, so you get blasted with cold or it’s too hot. Otherwise, really good price and great stay!

This hotel is good value with its great location on the main plaza in the city. The parking was annoying but we really didn't need our car during our two night stay. Very basic room (large) with basic amenities.

The rooms do not have a minibar or mini fridge as standard. However, we do have some mini fridges that we can place in the room on request. Please let us know in good time when booking and checking in. We will see if it is possible. Otherwise we have cooling facilities at reception.
Indeed, we are sorry, we have no gym and we do not offer any type of agreement with a gym. Fitness studios with gym are nearby (walking distance ten minutes).
