Super thoughtful reception staff who had personalised welcome signs in the rooms, treats for the dog and the location right by weissgerbergasse in the middle of the beautiful old town is hard to beat. Given the location I expected small rooms and was pleasantly surprised, modern interiors, clean, spacious and comfortable. We also tried the Thai restaurant downstairs, a healthy yummy dinner.

Perfect location, clean, decent price. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast is good but not included. Waterbottle on the room with 3,90€ a Little bit too pricy but that’s the only downside I would say

Hotel Elch has the perfect location close to the heart of Nurnberg. It was a 3 minute walk to the center of Christmas Market. Their staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel Elch will accomadate your pets and the complementary Gluhwein was a great way to end our stay. I highly recommend staying here during any trip to Nurnberg!

I booked a room at the Elch when I planned a weekend visit to the Christkindlsmarkt in Nuremberg, based on other positive reviews and the great location close to the market. I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel was a lovely combination of old & new, with modern finishes yet lots of charm. The staff was friendly and very helpful in recommending a convenient spot to have dinner one night. My single room was cozy and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet is generous, and reasonably priced even if it's not included with your room rate. Lots of delicious local pastries as well :) I had two small negatives: 1. One morning when I showered there was no hot water (not sure if this is a common issue?) 2. I was unfamiliar with the climate controls in my room, so the first night I just bundled under extra blankets until I realized there was a radiator which was controlled by a small dial next to the bed. A small instruction card would have been appreciated to explain this. Also just to note, there is no staff in the hotel between midnight and 7:00am. There is a night entrance for guests to be able to come & go, but no one will be at the desk between those hours. Overall, I was really happy with my choice to stay here and I would definitely stay again!

Hotel Elch was clean and spacious. Our accomodation was in the historical part of Nuremberg and central to the Christmas markets. We would happily stay at Hotel Elch on our next visit to Nuremberg. 🎄💕

Renovated middle-age house, very clean and solid in a great area, quiet, yet plenty of bars and restaurants around. Easy walking and parking options. Definitely one of my future go-to spots. Nice breakfast and personal touches.

I stayed three nights in this quaint hotel this month to visit the Christmas markets. I arrived a bit early for check in, but they kindly held my luggage so I could go start exploring. I had a spacious room on the second floor, thank goodness for the lift! The bathroom was pretty tight, but nothing to get upset about. Staff was always helpful with offering recommendations and directions. The breakfast buffet was great and convenient! The most valuable thing is the location! In the heart of the old town, walking distance to nearly everything you could want! A mere 5 minute taxi ride from the train station.
