Good value accommodation with basic rooms sufficient for a short stay. Free parking. Excellent wifi. Friendly staff all round. Room clean and good breakfast for 7.50 euro. It was very quiet and we got a good nights sleep
There was a srtong smoking smell in our non-smoking room. We went back to the reception to ask for another room, but the lady sais that was impossible as it was a non-smoking room. We told her the cigarettes were still on the window, but she did not any effort to believe or understand, and just said there is no other room available (although th ehotel is big and did not seem full of people). Very disappointing. We had to sleep with the window open...
We were traveling with 10 year girl and we sleep in family room (bunk bed and one double-bed). Hotel offers all we needed, it was clean, and staff at the reception was very helpfull and provide us a lot of useful information. The hotel offers free parking garage what was excellent for us traveling with car. The room is small, but clean and it is within room (because in Germany in some hotel can be practise to get family room separated from shower/wc). We took also breakfast for 7,5 eur for adult and 3 EUR child (expansive, we figured out later on, cruising around the city). Breakfast was self-service and offers various things and good coffee and bread.
The room we got didn’t have a working AC and once we entered the room it was freezing cold even though it was summer. We asked the receptionist for a different room, but she claimed that the hotel is fully booked and that she couldn’t give us another room as the one we got is already “used”... she gave us blankets and thought that the case is solved... however we couldn’t simply keep our 4 moths old baby in the cold room...we even asked for a heater, unfortunately there was none at the hotel. We decided to leave the hotel, as it wasn’t meeting the terms and conditions we signed for ( working AC and heater). The receptionist told us that event though the hotel is not fulfilling all conditions we wouldn’t get any refund as the booking was made on booking.com. With no refund from the hotel and crying baby in the car (it was already evening 9 pm) we needed to look for a new hotel. I don’t think it was a way to treat a family with 4 months old baby.…
Well presented rooms and amenities, well located as regards access to city, shopping, local restaurants and roads, excellent parking, friendly management. Well priced and highly recommended for budget conscious travellers.
The rooms were good and clean, reception friendly and helpful, but I had booked 2 rooms, one for myself and my husband and one for my elderly mother. The hotel has no disabled parking bay, the car park is a multi-storey building, but we were allowed, when pressed, to park on the flat outside, usually reserved for large vans. The shower has no grip bar nor non-slip mat, so my mother was unable to have a shower. We stayed in 4 different IBIS Budget hotels during our one week trip abroad and it was the same in each hotel. Your website should state clearly that you do not cater for disabled guests so that others do not suffer the same problem.
It was perfect in all ways!easy to find the hotel! confortable parking, very good service!clean rooms. closed to bus starion and station of the train.i asked for a smoking room and there was .Thank you for all.i hope one day i come back
That is if you're gonna use the trains to get around the city the way we did. It was a mistake to stay here since it was quite a walk to the nearest train station, and there's not much to interest you as you make that long, cold walk in winter. So we had to take taxis all the time which makes this hotel not a budget hotel at all. I expected the small room, small beds, small TV, small table, small shower room, small mirror, etc. Still, I felt like Goldilocks using baby bear's stuff! Don't expect a mini ref, safety deposit box, hairdryer, etc. But it was nice to have a bathrobe! Checking in was okay - we were welcomed by a nice man from Sri Lanka. But the next shift was taken by a German woman (we just assumed tho that she was German; my bad if she's of a different nationality) who had the habit of disrespecting us - we were the only Asians staying there at the time. Don't believe the online info that altho they don't have hot water or hairdryer, you can always request from the front desk. We requested - very politely but was taken to task just the same! "See here, you can't just come here and ask for hot water, I have to cook it first!" Duh. There was no room phones so we had to trek to the front desk to request. And how will she know when to "cook" water unless someone requested her? And what's the big deal about boiling water - is that a complicated cooking process? At breakfast one morning, she saw me filling my hot water bottle with hot water (I needed to drink tea in my room after breakfast, and I didn't enjoy doing that in that place where she hovered with negative energy and insulting side glances), she loudly berated me not to get hot water there because the machine might break! Again, what's the big deal about hot water? And must she be so uncivilized about it? As for breakfast, it was ordinary and with too few choices. My friends stayed in Furth and had breakfasts fit for a king - at cheaper prices! We should have transferred hotels immediately but we already prepaid the room for 9 nights! So we just gnashed our teeth at this misfortune and rejoiced once check out day came. We'll never be back - ever! And if you're Asian, stay away from this hotel. Book nearer Hauptbahnhof - hotels there treat Asian guests a lot better. Or better still, stay in airbnbs - a handful of German-Filipinos are listed. You'll even enjoy home-cooked meals of your fave pinoy food!…
We stood there for Christmas 2018 (December). As for Ibis budget hotel - even a little bit exceeds our expectations. Breakfast was enough to start the day, only one disappointment - awful coffee from the machine. Don't take it, better use coffee-kettle placed nearby to machine. Room - well cleaned, cozy. Space was bigger than most others Ibis Budgets. Bathroom - clean and shiny, well-cared with daily cleaning. Wi-fi - OK, speedy and stable. Room temperature - good for sleeping, regulated. All room equipment worked properly. Sleeping quality - good, hotel is quiet, no noise from outside and from neighbouring rooms as well. Location - 12 minutes walk from Tube station plus 8 minutes to old city. District looks industrial (Siemens venues are located around), so generally - location is so-so, but we knew it in advance and we're ready. To get the entrance when coming from Tube station you have to pass all-around the building, entrance itself is not too much visible. Be attentive in elevator - left row of the buttons on the panel will deliver you to office part of the building - that's the adventure after elevator's door closed! Use right buttons and be happy. So - good hotel for night-stay and then to start another touristic day in Nurnberg. Good service for reasonable price. Special thanks to staff - silent, invisible and attentive.…
This is an acceptable hotel for business travelers. I have been here for Chillventa exhibition. It is a budget hotel just when there is no exhibition at that time. As is common in many cities, prices increase sharply during the exhibition. For going to the central station you can either take a bus which is in the same side of the street within 5 minutes of walking or continue the way another 5 to 7 minutes to reach the central station. No place for sightseeing nearby. Just there is good supermarket named Kaufland, nearby within 5 min walking distance, same side of the street on the left when going out.
