The hotel was good and located in a beautiful park on a lake. However, the location is far from everything except the rally grounds. Unless you have a car or are planning or use taxis this location is very inconvenient. Our room was clean and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay. Three of us had a large room with three twin beds. And the wonderful vroom vroom alarm clock. No problem! That's why everyone stays there! We had a good dinner there, and good breakfast. And Lucia, the Italian chicken place across the road was great too! Only small complaint is the bathroom has no door for privacy.

I start with the positive things. The staff at check-in and breakfast was really nice and helpful. Also the breakfast itself was tasty and fresh, with a variety of pastry, vegetables, fruits, cheese etc. Coffee very good. But. Too cold everywhere. In the breakfast room and mostly in the hotel room. When we arrived, we turned the heating on, but later in the evening, when we came back from the rain outside, the room was still cold and at ca. 10pm, the heating stopped working. So during the whole night we had to wear warm clothes for not to get cold. Also when you step to the floor in the bathroom, you need to have slippers. The other thing - sorry, but really disgusting (see the pic below) - is the bed heading. It's made of the artificial leather and it'scraped, greasy, sticky and smelly. At arrival covered with pillow. After all this, we decided to leave one day earlier as planned before. And at check-out, we were just told that they know about the issue and they are about to repair it. No sorry, no refund, no compensation. Neither the parking fee at least (10 eur/24 hours, 6eur for Accor members). As I am former Accor employee and member as well, I'm pretty sure I'll choose another hotel to stay in Nürnberg next time.

Dear Hana F44, thank you for taking the time rating your stay at Congress Hotel Mercure Nuremberg. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We are happy that you enjoyed our breakfast and we will pass on your feedback to our team. At Mercure we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer, so it is a pity we found out about your problems afterwards. We would have gladly taken care of it on site and would have offered you a different room. The issue regarding the heating in your room was reported to our maintenance manager and we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. Unfortunately we cannot understand your comment regarding a refund, since no refunds can be made on complementary voucher, as there is no monetary value here. Thank you again for your comments. Sincerely, Anja Bach Assistant General Manager

Terrible place - avoid! Stayed here in January 2020 on a business trip (just before the toy fair) and was extremely disappointed. The staff on reception were not very welcoming and gave no information at all about any of the usual things you expect when checking in. When checking out they simply took my key and said goodbye, didn't ask how the stay was, etc. When walking to my room, I immediately noticed that the corridors were a bit 'dingy' and that the hallway carpet was very worn out and in immediate need of replacement, which should have been a warning to me. The photographer who takes photos for the booking sites must also be a magician because the room didn't look anything like the photos online, both in decor and in size, much smaller than expected or compared to other hotels! The headboard of the bed was scraped and tattered, the walls were scraped and marked, I found a very long hair on my duvet (and I'm a short haired male) and a rip in my sheet. The light in the bathroom had fallen out of the ceiling and was hanging by its wire. The kettle (not a coffee machine like other hotels) still had water from the last occupant in it, no idea how long that had been standing there for. When I called from my room phone to ask about a clothes iron, I was told to go up 2 floors to an 'ironing room'. What decent class hotel in this day and age doesn't have an iron in the room?! This hotel was terrible, don't waste your money stay at the nearby novotel for the same price.

All of the staff here were so wonderful! Excellent hospitality throughout the hotel. Hotels should take a lesson from the outstanding staff here. Our room was small but adequate, and clean. The bed was very comfortable with all non-feather pillows--great for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately, there was only a nightstand and power outlet on one side of the bed--not good when two people need to charge phones and devices at bedside. A small nightstand on the other side of the bed along with a simple, inexpensive power hub would resolve this issue. The room had an electric kettle but no minifridge. The bathroom was tiny and really only usable with the door closed. The shower was a good size and had no mold in the tile grout--great job, housekeeping! The shower water pressure was OK; unfortunately, the hot water oscillated between hot and cool. The towels were large but thin. The magnifying mirror was a nice touch! The free WiFi was strong but not password protected (boo!). There is plenty of open-air parking. Despite the few issues, I would stay here again.

Despite the numerous staff members it was hard to be welcomed when trying to check-in. The hotel itself is functional furnished and decorated but also rather cold and aloof. Breakfast was decent, simple and quite limited. The room was spacious enough and clean. Too bad the airco was too noisy to keep it on during the night. Despite being amoung two dozens of other guests we haven't seen a single staff member during the 30 minutes we had breakfast which adds up to the image of this hotel not being very guest focused. Given the overall experience I'd say this hotel is slightly overprised and I wouldn't recommend it for more than just a single night stopover.

Hotel seems as his best times had, but made the expectations. Room was clean, with enough space. Breakfast with many possibilities, also was cook who made egg things, 10 minutes walk to underground was pleasure via the park. I thnik that a little refresh could up quality.

I woke up sweating in the middle of the night since the air conditioning wasn’t working. At 2 am there was a nice chilly temperature outside, unfortunately the room was hot as hell. I went to the toilette and .... It was clogged. The shower inside the bathtub is very uncomfortable. The carpet in the room and in the whole facility was warn out. The hotel needs a big renewing. I won’t stay in this place again. I don’t know why Mercure always disappoints me compared with Novotel or even Ibis
