Hotel's Favourite
Lovely historic hotel in the heart of old town. 5 minutes from the train station. Great communication with the hotel before and during our stay. Suite 17 was roomy and quiet. Comfortable beds and all amenities you need. No air conditioning, but that was not an issue during our stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel. Lovely staff, especially the man on the front desk. Very, very helpful. Immaculate - spotlessly clean. Historic building. Excellent location in the old town but 3min walk from the station. Comfortable rooms. Would recommend

Impossible to fault this fine, comfortable old hotel in Nuremberg’s centre. An old building badly damaged during the war but substantially restored and with much charm. My room was large and, at the rear, quiet. Excellent bathroom. Terrific breakfast. Parking was available in a side alley right next to the hotel (€12 per night). Not cheap (€328 for two nights with breakfast and parking in late 2019) but highly recommended.

Finishing a 3 day vacation in Nuremberg. Meet our son and what a great location! Walked everywhere! We arrived early and asked for early check in. They were full but really expedited a room for us ! Much appreciated, when traveling from the states. We are really ready for a nap when we ck in. Room was very comfortable, shower was spacious and great hot water! Queen bed with duvet, incredible comfortable. The breakfast is wonderful, fresh fruits and eggs to order. Service was very nice! But really great shopping inside the walled city. Used trip advisor for restaurant and walked to every one. Incredible diversity in restaurant selection well with in walking distance. One warning about January, some shops and restaurants are closed for the month. Just an FY I.

This hotel exceeded expectations. We had booked the suite because we were travelling with our adult daughter, who was to have the fold out sofa. When we arrived, they said to leave our luggage and come back in an hour. When we came back they told us that they had upgraded our booking and our daughter was to have her own room next door, at no extra cost...so everything was off to a fantastic start. The location is brilliant, especially for the Christmas Markets. It is a lovely stroll in to the town square, close to cafes and restaurants, but also literally 5 mins to the underground pass to the railway station. The hotel itself is gorgeous. They have retained the old world feel of the place, yet provided all modern conveniences. Breakfast was more than you could want. I have a personal breakfast rating which states that if they serve salmon and champagne, it's a 5. They got a 5! The staff were friendly. helpful and courteous. And the complementary gingerbread and glass of Gluwein at reception became something that we looked forward to everytime we came in off the -5C streets.

My family (5 of us across 3 generations) stayed at the Deutscher Kaiser for one night prior to our river boat cruise departure. We selected the hotel for its proximity to the Christmas Markets and weren't disappointed. My dad has limited mobility, but was still able to walk to the market. The breakfast was amazing! Definitely one of the best of all of my European vacations. My family continues to rave about the breakfast. The staff was wonderful and the rooms were perfect for our needs. My parents stayed in a superior double. I believe rooms that have been updated are considered "superior." This room also had a wonderful view of the city, but I'm unsure if all superior rooms have great reviews. We selected a larger family room that was actually two rooms connected (a double & a single). The double room had been updated, but not the single room. Though the single room hadn't been updated, it was perfectly fine. Both rooms faced an inner courtyard. If we ever return to Nuremberg, we would definitely stay here again!

Could not fault this hotel. Small, family run, traditional German hotel only3-4 minutes from railway station and central to the shopping district. Very quiet and efficiently run. We were upgraded to a junior suite and it was very comfortable with all amenities including a bowl of fruit and fresh bottles of water, still and sparklng every day. Very good choice at breakfast including hot and cold choice.Highly recommend.
