First, let's start out - it's a hostel. So it comes with the same problems of all hostels - lots of young people hanging out together, making noise and occasionally being annoying. That said, for a hostel at this price, I don't think it gets better. I'm in my late 30s, and I had a generally very good experience staying...

This is a hostel experience like no other. The tent is basically a big camp-site in a park in suburban Munich and is basically it's own self contained ecosystem. The tent has wonderful summer camp vibes. The place is run by these great free-spirit hippy people and the place reflects their attitude. There is a cabin restaurant that serves lovely...

Such a great concept, lovely campfires, cheap beer, table tennis tables etc. However while i was there, there was a serious problem with robberies. All 4 who i travelled with had things robbed. (One as simple as a phone charger and a glass mug). Others more serious. Apart from the robberies, location very far out.

This was a really fun place to stay. Kind of felt like you were at summer camp! Good bathroom facilities, a nice little kitchen and a cafeteria open most of the day. Basketball court and volleyball court, quick walk to the 17 line which gets you to the city centre in about 15 minutes. Friendly, helpful staff. You can sleep...

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Tent (in our own tent, not in "the tent") for 2 nights last week. For starters, it is definitely good value for money. At €16.50/night, it is almost half the price of some other campsites we've stayed at during our trip around Europe. It's also very clean, and the toilets and showers are...

Coming from Dubai, we (three 18 year old girls) were a bit apprehensive about staying here but we were pleasantly surprised! It had a lovely atmosphere, the communal shower and bathroom area was clean and modern. Beds were adequate, although i recommend you sleep on the bottom bunk, i slept on the top and every time i moved the whole...

We stayed three days at Munich and The Tent was a very comfortable hostel to stay in. Cozy beds, clean bathrooms and showers and a relaxed ambience by the bonfire. Good prices on beer and food. Although it's a little bit far, you can take the bus just across the street.

The tent is an amazing experience and I would reccomend it to anyone who gets the chance to go to Munich. We originally planned to stay in our own tent whilst there but last minute changed our booking to stay in the main tent; but on the floor with a sleeping pad. Thank god we did because it was one...

Would recommend The Tent to everyone. Reasonably priced food and drink while sitting by the campfire. Table tennis , volleyball and basketball (all free) gives you plenty to do to pass the time during the day. Excellent kitchen facility help you save money on eating out which was a bonus !
