Affordable to save money, cheapiest hostel in Munich; but if you are looking for confort, not the best place to go. Nice staff, near from the bus stop and VERY cold: bring all your warm clothing , otherwise you will freeze till death lol

Stayed here for the first weekend of Oktoberfest which obviously meant it was very busy, which was a bonus as we got to meet a lot of people from all over the world! Staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend a bratwurst meatloaf sandwich! Toilets and showers were clean and equipped with plenty of...

We wanted to attend Oktoberfest despite traveling on a tight budget and couldn't find any other place to crush in for less than 80 euros (!!!) per night. We booked the cheapest option, a floor spot (which basically means a very thin mattress and a spot in the tent is provided) and it was overall a great experience. The place...

The Tent is an establishment for backpackers, budget travellers and Oktoberfesters in Munich. Open only in the summer months, it is located in West Munich close to the Botanical Garden and the Schloss Nymphenburg. It is a camping ground + hostel rolled into one wherein for 6 Eur (approx. in 2014) one is given some blankets, a rug and a...

This place is a hostel/campground/beer garden combination and it’s such a great idea! If they had a place like this at home I would pay to stay just because of the great atmosphere. So in a nutshell, The Tent is located in a section of a public park that is separated by a metal fence from the regular park-goers. You...

I've stayed in the tent for one night in August and this hostel exceeded my expectations. Clean facilities, cafeteria with organic coffee/juice/lemonade and delicious food, bonfire at night, cozy hammocks, this place has it all. It may get cold at night so bring some warm clothes, though in case you need extra sheets you can get them free of charge....

I stayed for three nights in July and met some really great people. It's the perfect hostel if you just want to have a couple beers and meet people and talk. The atmosphere is very cosy, even though it's all outdoors (there's a campfire at night!). Because it's a residential area they have quiet hours after a certain time, which...

Most of the reveiws of this place summarise it pretty well. We though it was fantastic, nice people, clean facilties, good dinner and wery cheap to be in Munich. We had schnitzel in the city center and payed basicly the same for that as we did for a night and dinner at the tent. And the schnitzel wasn't even that...

I don't want to crush this place, because it was SO incredibly cheap, I don't feel ripped off or anything. But it really wasn't for me. Beds were comfy enough but there's a lot of people in a relatively small "tent" area so noise can be an issue. Also I was there in early July and it still gets surprisingly...

This place is incredible. A giant tent with a numerous bunk beds in a park might not be for everyone, but for those it does appeal to you'll have an amazing time. The overall atmosphere is super chilled, it's clean, comfortable, and inviting. And there's a huge bonfire every night to socialise at. I loved it and will stay here...
