Okay so I had no expectations at all, and oh boy I was pleasantly surprised! What a fantastic place. The vibe is just perfect for Oktoberfest. They have games, beer, food, campfires and great staff. Great public transport is also available, simple and quick -...More
This is an example of very well run campsite. It is literally 20min tram ride from the city centre. The site is beautiful and quirky. We camped in our own tent. Very good value. Toilet/shower faciities were great and very clean (no extra charges either)....More

The S1 and S8 go from the airport to Munich center, then there is the N17 tram to a stop approximately 5 minutes walk from The Tent. Not sure it is suitable for an 8 year old, doable but might not be the best location.
