The photos don't really show the 'red light' clubs on the same street. Room basic, on the small side. The wardrobe was probably bigger than the bathroom. Good location, close to the city and main station. Nowhere really to sit during the day - no lounge area. Close to Octoberfest, if that's what you are looking for. Dirty under the... More

This isn't the greatest hotel I've ever stayed in, but it's far from the worst. First things first: the location isn't as bad as I'd feared. True, there are some "gentlemens' bars" nearby, but I saw no trouble around them, and didn't feel at all threatened by them or anything else on the streets. The room was quite small, and... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Italia twice, both during Octoberfest. The location is ideal. It is a modest walk from Octoberfest and the the terrific parade, not to be missed, goes by the corner 100 ft out the door. Not surprisingly, the rates for Octoberfest are exorbitant but, again, you are paying for location. The hotel itself has a... More

For the amount we paid, the hotel was pretty basic and over priced for what we got. The room was clean but tiny. The ensuite was even smaller, about 4ftx4ft. This obviously didn't come across in their photos, but they never do. Breakfast wasn't anything special and my friend who came with me didn't even bother going after the first... More

Soundproof windows, huge soft bath towels, easy walk to/from the train station, easy walk to the heart of the pedestrian touristy old central city. Internet troublesome, so keep the code given at check-in, you may need it. Front desk people friendly, helpful, Nice price makes it a very good deal, but the highlight is the breakfast (and the towels).

The wonderfully friendly staff have left a memorable impression on my mind. The rooms are adequately fitted out. The hotel is close to most tourist attractions. The hotel offers a reduced parking rate which is substantial. Go to reception first and get directions. The mini bar is fantastic, 2 euro per item. How simple. Breakfast was well laid out provided... Very clean hotel, fresh and plentiful breakfast, comfortable beds, and good size rooms. Good value for money. I believe the location is the tricky side of it and could be a problem for certain people. On the one hand, it is really central and right next to the main train station which is great. On the other hand, it is... More

Had been as a Couple from 16/6/2016 to 20/6/2016. The hotel is really in a very convenient location , from the Central Railway station , the Hauptbahhof, (hbf). The close vicinity of the hbf, is very useful as for all sight seeing whether guided tours ,or whether on your own, if you are using the train , or bus ,you need... Located right next the central train station. The hotel room is clean and good shower and bed. This is all we were looking for from this hotel at very reasonable price. We can see ourselves staying at this hotel in the future. They also provide free wifi and breakfast. Since we didn't left early next day we didn't get to... More

Some of the reviews of this Hotel say it's in a "sex district" or a place with "sex tourists." That is misleading - probably written by Americans not used to how neighborhoods near train stations in Germany often have that kind of thing. Hotel Italia is near the train station. That's very good, especially if you have a group. It's... More
