If you're looking for a place to stay at a walking distance from central Munich, this is it. Admitting that the decor is a bit outdated, it's basic and depending on your room you're sharing a shower and/or toilet with other guests, but for the going rates you can't argue. Breakfast is basic: a (good) pot of coffee and/or tea...

For those who want a glitzy hotel/spa, this is not the place, but the location cannot be beat, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were basic as was the breakfast, but is is only a few blocks from the Royal Palace, the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum, etc. and there is great public transportation to nearly everything...

Traveling with a large family is made easy by this friendly staff. We took a 4 bed room and a double room. I missed a double bed but it was not the end of the world. There was a shared bathroom on the hall which was clean and modern with plenty of hot water. The staff told us about some...

Pension Beck is located within a 10-minute walk from a metro station in a lovely neighborhood with high apartment buildings on both sides of the residential street. It takes only minutes to get to the river as well as one of the most high fashion streets in all of Munich. I shared a room with my folks and slept on...

This is about as authentic a good old-fashioned German pension as you can get. Plain, unadorned, clean (as clean as you can keep a 150+ year old building), with a no-nonsense owner and breakfast lady. Unbelievably cheap for the location which is not only central but also close to parks and the river Isar. Breakfast is simple and - well,...

Before arriving, we were a bit worried because we read some negative feedback online. However, we had a great stay in Munich, and the Pension turned out to be really good. The price is really great compared to the location. You can reach the old city by easily walking 5-10 minutes. The owners of the pension were SUPER nice, very...

Yes it was very affordable and a decent location. Not very clean and smelled bad, stale smoke smell everywhere. Breakfast was bread and jam. Better off going to a corner shop and spending a few euros. Mild temperature but needed fresh air due to funky smells. Open window means NO sleep at all. Very, very loud. Front desk was friendly...

This place is great, I stayed here for the start of Oktoberfest, nice staff - brilliant location, bright room - it's not fancy but it's a great budget pension. Other reviewers have complained about the breakfast but I felt it was fine for the price.

This is a good place to stay if you are in Munich and on a budget. My wife and I stayed for 50 euros per night. We stayed in a double room with the bath down the hallway. It's not as bad as you think. the bathroom was kept very clean and sanitary. We were in the building in the...

We were given a very large, airy room with bath for 2 in the rear building behind a courtyard. The room had an excellent large bed and a large bathhroom. You DO have to climb stairs. Avoid the front building as the streetcars run long hours in front. Nice continental breakfast provided. Helpful staff and good value for the money....
